We brought a chair into Empire to get reupholstered. My wife purchased it from Salvation Army for $40. It was old and in rough condition. At first, Joey the owner was not in the shop. A woman who works there gave us a bunch of sample materials to look through. She did not the prices of any of them. So, my wife picked out one she liked.
The next day Joey called to give her a price. It was expensive. She said we would come back and pick out a fabric less expensive. He than told her he would call the supplier and see if he could get a better price on the fabric. I guess he did because the price went down a couple of dollars. He asked for a $200 deposit so my wife gave him her credit card number for that.
I picked the chair up the a week later. Paid Joey the balance by credit card. The work done was very good. The chair looks great. However for the cost of getting this chair redone I could have bought a brand new one. I felt it was overpriced.
Highly recommend and will do business with again in the future.
Look no further-Joe and Carrie will get it done.
