Unreal how awful this place is. Went to look at a $97,000 F450 actively showing for sale. Call someone to verify it is available. Yes. Drive two hours to get there and find out from the doofus behind the desk that the bigger doofus owner is driving it as his own and not ready to sell it. Why is it showing for sale? Why did you tell me it was for sale when I called? Beach Ford Owner, if you take the time to read your reviews in between trying to pull a $97,000 F-450 through a drive through at Burger King, a cash purchase you could have had you lost because of your incredible stupidity. My dog took a took a dump on your lot while we were there, maybe you’ll run over it. You deserve it.

I guess their prices are what everybody else seems to be. It took two hours maybe for the process to be complete. The workers were all friendly.

They are by far number 1 and this is why I purchased 4 vehicles so far and recommended to a best friend and business owner Elegant Lawns and Curbs Landscaping to check Beach Ford for his new truck.

I got a good deal. It was the end of the month so that caused some issues but it worked out well in the end.

Brought our 2005 Ford F250 diesel in for a suspected transmission problem.

Vernon from Beach Ford called the next day and advised that there was no problem with the transmission but the fan clutch was bad and the engine was overheating. I explained again (had already told him when dropping off the truck) that neither the coolant temperature gauge nor the transmission temperature gauge indicated any overheating.

He insisted that the error code in the computer was for overheating and the fan clutch was defective. Unfortunately, I approved the repair.

The next day, the truck broke down again with the exact same problem - I was 60 miles away in Florence, SC. I brought the truck into Mike Reichenbach Ford in Florence and they diagnosed and repaired a defective shift lever assembly. The problem was fixed and has not occurred again.

I called Beach Ford and discussed the misdiagnosis and unnecessary repair with the service advisor Vernon and his boss Joe - they were unwilling to acknowledge their error nor credit me any portion of their rip off repair. Stay away from this place - simply parts replacers - no diagnostic skills!

Scott Powell was very personal, professional and helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better salesman. We had a few bumps as we were preparing the deal. The bumps were me not understanding the warranty and they very graciously paid for the extended warranty that I thought it had.

The following is an email that I sent on July 29th, 2011 to Wes Grubbs, owner of Beach Automotive Group. The email was sent via the link on the company website.

Dear Mr. Grubbs,

My name is Chris G and I like you am a local business owner. I always strive to have my employees exceed customer expectations as I am sure that you do as well. The reason for my email is that I have had several not so pleasant experiences with several of your staff and felt you would want to know about them.

First off I purchased a 2008 Lincoln Navigator L back about three months ago and when it arrived I brought it in to your shop on my day off and had some work done for an engine light. The guys were great and I was well pleased with the service. That day when I was finished I went next door to Quicklane to see about getting new tires. I read my warranty books and realized since these were original tires they would still be under tire manufacturer’s warranty. I spoke with Billy the quicklane manager at the time and he said he would look into it. I would call him every week or two to check on his progress since he called me none. The last conversation that I had with him he said that Pirelli had accepted the claim but they needed to tell him how much they would give on the tires. I tried back again about two weeks ago and was told by Eric that Billy was no longer there but that if I would bring the car in he could check on the warranty.

My wife took the car by to Eric to have an oil change and he looked at the tires and said that Billy was shooting me full of it just hoping I would go away. Eric did agree to call Pirelli and see if they had any record of Billy's conversations. He also told me that day that he would begin to look for the best deal for me on new tires and call me right away. Well I waited one week and did not hear from him.

My wife and three boys all under five years old left for Atlanta by themselves on Wednesday morning July 27th. She called me after lunchtime frantic because she had just been pulled over by a highway patrol. The cop was passing her to stop someone who was speeding but when he saw that her tire was almost flat he pulled her over instead fearing for her safety. Once this happened I decided to call your service manager Brad Clary feeling confident that he would answer my questions.

I got Wayne and he informed me that Brad had stepped out but that he would be back soon so I told Wayne everything that you now know and was told that he would leave a detailed message for Brad to call me.

Well this is now Friday so I thought I would call Brad to check up. I got Wayne who explained that he did give Brad the message and that Brad was in his office. I called at 4:07 and stayed on hold until 4:32 before I decided to contact you. Wayne did check back several times and said that he paged Brad a few times.

In short I am still in need of tires.

I apologize for the book but I thought you should know.

Warmest Regards,

Chris G

Eric called me back Friday afternoon July 29th and said that he left me two voice mails on my cell phone which is definitely false and we can have my phone records pulled to verify his lie. He also said that if the vehicle had been brought to him with less than 36K miles that he would have been able to do something. I told him that the first time I brought it to Billy there was less than 36,000 and he could not say anything more because he knew that I was right. I asked him if he found the best deal for me and he said to bring in any price from a competitor and he would beat it. This is fine but he had already told my wife this and this is not what we discussed on July 22nd. The plan was for him to find the best tire for the best price and call me back!

I tried to contact Wes Grubbs by phone after giving him over a week to respond to my email. I left a detailed message on his company voicemail explaining my concerns and I left my contact information (which is in his database) and asked that he return my call. That was several days ago and I still have not heard from him.

I feel that I have wasted very valuable time with this company and that Beach Automotive Group should have tried to make right on the actions and lies of their employees which has not been done to this point.
