We use their wellness program which is like an insurance program. It includes two exams and a teeth cleaning once a year free of charge. I have been taking my pets there for many years and would not go anywhere else. Very clean and good people.

The did a wonderful job in providing me with the necessary information about the procedures. They called me when Samantha was through her surgery and stated that I could call them through out the day, which I did a couple of times. When I picked her up they provided me with written care instructions and stated that I could call anytime with questions. They have been great.

It is a health care insurance for the animals. We have health care plan with them. They are always available, their communication skills are excellent, their prices are very reasonable, and they are very good with the animals.

They are a chain. My dog was very sick. It was six o'clock on Friday and everything was closed, but I found them open. I rushed down there as my dog needed overnight care, but they don't do that. I don't know why they call themselves a hospital because they are actually not that. They are a clinic. I took my dog to an emergency hospital overnight and then took her back there in the morning. Other than that it was a good experience. I'm glad that I used them because they were very, very nice. They were fairly expensive, though.

Routine visit for my 5 yr old maltese. I provided records from my vet in CT and was told my dog needed a rabies shot and a shot for distemper. I disagreed w/the Dr. about the distemper shot as my dog does not go out unattended nor does she socialize with unknown animals. He insisted until I finally agreed. After receiving both boosters, I went to the desk to pay the bill. They sold me a well dog health plan and we scheduled my dog for teeth cleaning. While at reception my dog vomited. The assistant came out to check her, took her back to the vet (without me) and returned her to me saying she would be fine. I took my dog to the car, got out of the parking lot when my dog began to forcefully vomit. I immediatley brought her back to Banfield. As I was getting her out of the car she started having the runs. The vet was on his way to his car and I called him over. He told me to take her to the Animal emergency care hospital, that there was no one at the clinic who could take care of an allergic reaction. I was so upset. I rushed her to the ER and my next experience was worse than the first! The ER doctor tried to tell me my dog had pancreatis. Perfectly healthy at 3pm then suddenly in need of over 600.00 worth of vet care! I took her home, gave her Bendryl and waited out the worst night of my pets life! It took me two days to gather myself enough to call Banfield's customer service number, cancel my health plan and tell them my complaints. I would not under any circumstances recommend Banfield any pet friend of mine. My dog will NEVER set a paw in there again.
