Coastal Carolina Home Watch

They have the potential to be a very good company. The main problem I see is that they are understaffed and stretched too far to deliver the kind of service they promise. The main guy Jack, is busy running between the Murrells Inlet office and his office in Charleston. How can he possibly be watching over his staff and your house when he is running between the two offices? He has to trust the staff he has left behind. The problem I found is that his staff doesn't do their job and when they are confronted about it they fib and Jack believes them and basically tells you that you are the one who is crazy or delusional. He will re-do and say they will try harder but the same things keep happening. Some of the issues were cleaning related, some were omissions of linens, and some were saying they made repairs when they hadn't. They also have a very disorganized scheduling and billing process. It took me many hours to get my bill straightened out at the end of the season. If you make any scheduling changes they can't handle it.
I feel that they have the potential to be just what the VRBO owner needs if they could just admit they need to improve and actually hire enough staff to get everything done. They also need to get  a professional scheduling and billing service. The poor office manager has to do the receptionist duties, cleaning, the scheduling, the billing, everything! Too much for one person!
