Air Doctor Services is excellent. Yesterday Brandon completed our semi-annual checkup; he arrived on time, was personable, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. I wasn’t certain whether the air filters we’ve recently started using (which filter micro-size particles like dust mites and dander) were causing excessive pressure drop, which can harm an HVAC system. Brandon checked our HVAC specifications and took readings, then explained the results and assured us that our system could easily handle the filter we selected. We highly recommend Air Doctor Services; all the employees we’ve dealt with (Brandon, Rammie, Pam, Rebecca, and Timmy) are very responsive and caring, and their prices are significantly lower than most HVAC service companies in the area.

Although I am an engineer and have dealt with complex systems all my life, I was concerned about hiring an HVAC Company in an unfamiliar location and used Angie’s List to level the playing field.

From the first time that I spoke with Air DoctorServices, I was impressed with their professional approach, knowledge and candor that was a cut above the other companies I had contacted for an estimate. Air Doctor came to the site, thoroughly examined the system and provided an estimate. After discussion of the job details and agreement on the terms, Air Doctor was able to schedule the installation within just a few days and promised the work would be complete in one day to accomodate my schedule(they did as they promised!).

About 5 minutes early on the promised day, three servicemen in two trucks with all the needed parts arrived (dressed in clean company work gear) to commence the installation. They proceeded to protect my rugs, stairs and hall with clean coverings before starting the job. Two worked inside on the air handler while one worked at the heat pump outside. They were polite and thoughtful, quiet and efficient, completing their work prior to 4 PM. They were even able to address two unexpected problems in that time (an existing faulty duct connection and hidden defective wiring). After installation was complete, an Air Doctor supervisor came to the house to do a quality check of the installation and provide instruction on the new control system. Everything worked great.

Overall, we are very pleased with the excellent work quality and pricing provided by Air Doctor Services and would highly recommend them to others.

About 3 1/2 years ago we replaced the heat pump/AC system. Got quotes from several companies and ended up going with this one. We bought a higher end Trane system that the sales rep said was so good it didn't really need the service contract. Plus since the unit is sheltered by an overhang, it should have a long life-beyond the 10 year warranty. The thermostat came in the package. Install went great and no problems until this week. Visited the condo and noticed that the thermostat was dead. When I called in I said it was the thermostat but took the rep an hour to figure it out and then hit me with a $89 diagnostic fee plus the cost of his labor. Luckily I had the warranty card or I would have had to pay for the part because the company had no record of having installed it. This rep also said that I should have a service contract since it is not exposed to rain that can wash the salt/sand deposits away. Contradiction from what I was originally told? Then came the speech on the value of a service contract. Needless to say being an absentee owner who rents out in the summer, I felt compelled to do it. I am just wondering if I'm being taken for a ride since it's obvious I'm not local. Didn't come away from this experience with a whole lot of confidence. I don't know if I would recommend them since it was all a bit uncomfortable. We'll see how the year goes. The service contract seemed a bit costly since my home system (furnace and central air) is much bigger and at about the same cost and I live in a much more metropolitan area.

I don't have much to say negatively about the company. I rent the house during the summer and as my HVAC system aged, there were condser failures on the exchangers. The company responded same day as called each and every time, resolved the problem/problems, and notified me in detail of the work performed. The only negative thing I can think of is I feel they should have let me know that perhaps I should consider new HVAC systems. The maintenance calls got to be more frequent. In February 2012 I replaced the original 11 year old heat pumps with new ones.

We entered into a yearly service contract with the air doctor. They came out and checked our system over. tech advised us age of our system and what to expect from it's location (beach front property). he cleaned the coils, both inside and outside, which was more than required by the service agreement. We were pleased and expect to have them return to service the unit in the fall.

We got the Trane system which was on the higher end. I have not had any problems with it and everything seems to be working very well. The quality of their work is very good. I don't know about their price as we live in a condo and the Home Owner's Association uses them. I never really looked up their price.
