Riley and Sons Moving & Storage - South Carolina

The movers arrived on time for an estimated 4 hr pick up and delivery, however they had underestimated the job and ran hours over. The extra hours on the job cost quite a bit more then their Angie's list special. The extra cost made them price comparable to companies that had much higher initial quotes. The movers themselves were pleasant and worked hard, everything but one item arrived undamaged. A top heavy hall tree had not been properly secured and it broke in half. We reported the damage to the moving company but have had no response since making the report. We are a retire military family and have moved houses a lot and for a simple move this company is adequate. In moving something always will get broke, so we will take the loss in stride. However I am glad we had budgeted cost overrun because it was quite a bit move than we had anticipated.

I was very unhappy with the work. The move took way too long and they overcharged for everything. They took 16 hours to get the move done.It was extremely slow it took them over 3 hours to get somewhere that should have only taken 2 hours and fifteen minutes. (I would not use them again. I felt the biggest problem was the original person who came to me never showed back up and the over-seer that was hired was only there briefly.

These guys did an awesome job!!!

The movers were very friendly, and handled the 100 degree temperature that day admirably. I was happy with the service they provided.

Riley and Sons did a great job with our large move from downtown Charleston to Mount Pleasant. He was prompt, easy to deal with, and his team was very professional. Highly recommended.
