They took it down quickly and well. They were really responsive.

We were very pleased.

Marcelllo came by to give us an estimate soon after we called. He immediately spotted that our larger grand oak had been struck by lightening in the not-too-distant past. The tree was evidently in the process of healing. A complete surprise to us! To encourage healing and preserve the shape and integrity of the tree, he suggested removing as much dead wood and surrounding odd growth as possible to allow more sunlight to reach the "wound" (my word). He made other suggestions about the overall shape of the tree, apart from the wound area, as well about the smaller grand live oak, which was in much better shape. Jessica inspected the trees soon afterward, agreed with Marcello's recommendations, and offered a few more suggestions and positive comments about the smaller tree's access to sunlight. Within the next day or two, the crew arrived and removed what seemed at least a ton of wood, taking great care that our property and our neighbor's property were protected. Afterward, they removed and chippered all the wood in a very neat and efficient manner. There was absolutely no fuss or mess for us or our neighbors. No debris left on shingles or grounds You would have to examine before-and-after photos to appreciate that the canopy of the large grand oak changed from a depressing tangled mess to a clearly defined, nearly dome-shaped structure that allows sunlight to filter through and below. We have high hopes for our azaleas and camellias next year. We believe that the older grand live oak now has a far greater chance of surviving the next Hugo--or the next ice storm, which also could have toppled the wounded, top-heavy old tree. The smaller grand live oak, planted a week or two after Hugo, also has a much better chance to grow old gracefully, now that it will be getting a greater measure of sun. We will be recommending New Leaf Tree Service to our neighbors, friends, and family. Within the next year or so, we will also include a copy of this account in the transfer of papers for the new owners of our home and grand oaks.

They did a great job and were very conscientious with their work. I will use them again and highly  recommend them.

Their service was excellent and took great care of our trees and lawn.  They even ranked back in the dirt.  Jessica was great and I wanted to say thanks to her and her team for their great work.  I would highly recommend them to anyone in Charleston.

The arborist came out promptly to examine the tree. The men who took the tree down were professional & efficient. The aerial artist w/ the chain saw spent most of the days high in the tree cutting & sending the pieces of the tree down by ropes configured to avoid the house, hot tub & pool. Amazing to watch!

I have 3 grand live oaks on my property and have had a few different companies service them over the years. I will not hire anyone else to trim my trees again. From start to finish New Leaf was great. When I called, Tree Girl Jessica answered all of my questions and they came out for an estimate that day. I checked Jessica's arborist certification on the ISA's website and there she was. Other companies have told me they were certified arborists and when I went to check their credential, they weren't there. Their quote was in line with 2 others I got so we hired them and they came to do the work on the day we had scheduled. I really appreciated this because we have had other companies trim our trees and they never showed up when they said they would and wouldn't answer or call back. Moses and the crew were amazing! They were like a well oiled machine swinging through the trees and cutting the branches like artists. The trees look incredible. Jessica and marcello were on the job site with them and available to make changes to our scope of work as needed. We got a detailed invoice right there via email and paid by credit card when they finished. Everything was so easy. I will recommend them to all of my friends.

It went well, they were on time, they were all courteous, they cleaned up nicely with rakes and leaf blowers, and hauled all debris away. No surprises, charged what they said they would, did the job quickly, would recommend them and will use them again in the future.

New Leaf Tree Service was extremely responsive throughout the entire process. I touched base with New Leaf in November, and they were there the following day to give me an estimate for taking down three large pine trees in the back yard. Their quotes were competitive, and Jessica and Marcello were very personable.
It took me a couple of months to get approval from the HOA for the removal. Once approved in February, I called them to schedule the removal. They provided me proof of insurance, and showed up the next morning (Saturday) at 8am to get started on the job. The crew that came out was amazing, and due to the proximity of the trees to the house, each one had to be climbed to be taken down from the top. Moses did a fantastic job, and the other two on the crew efficiently carted the waste away, and mulched it to haul away. I was absolutely amazed that all three trees were taken down, without any damage to the house, other trees that were close, nor my yard.
I highly recommend New Leaf, and will consider them again when I need to have trees trimmed or removed.
