I hired them for house cleaning, we discussed the rates over phone , for full house basic cleaning I agreed to pay $120 ( which was way too high, I never paid my regular cleaning lady this amount, who does 10 times better job, but I urgently needed someone) first time they didn't show up, by the end of the day the owner/ manager called and apologized, the next day the maids show up on time, they explained me what is included in basic cleaning. They didn't do half the things they told me, left so many places untouched, even didn't vacuum the area rug, I found lot of dirt in one spot. They didn't have proper cleaning supply and used all purpose spray on my hard wood floors and made them dull looking. For two of them took 5 1/2 hours to do that sloppy job. My maid does better job in 4 hours for lot less money. I ended up paying them $150, because the manager called me and complained that the maids are in my house for such a long time and I should pay them $300, because their hourly rates are $30 each /hour, I told him that we never discussed hourly rates, otherwise I wouldn't use your company. I paid extra just because the maids were polite not for their work. I will never use this company and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

"As an owner, I know the customer is always right. In this case, a miscommunication caused the conversation to spin out of control which created the wrong impression. However, I did not ask for any payment beyond the agreed upon price of $120. I never do that. Let me explain. It is true that we took the job late in the day and that I misjudged our ability to finish the job we were on and drive across town to do this house. The client understood and we rescheduled for the next day. After the job was finished I asked the client if she was satisfied with the work. She said yes. They had missed a few spots, but she said they corrected it. I am always looking for new clients, so I wanted her to be happy. I am taken aback by all the quality problems she listed above. That was not communicated to me. We have a satisfaction guarantee. If she told me she was unhappy with the job, I would have sent a different team to re-clean the following day. I don't hesitate to do that. It is a no questions asked policy. If you are not happy, we fix it, period. We began to discuss payment. I had no intention of charging anything above the agreed upon price of $120. I said, "My team was there for 5 hours instead of the 2 we expected, so the price should be $300." I was trying to explain that she was getting a deal. She thought I was slapping her with a charge she never expected. She was very upset, but before I could correct her, she began to protest quite vigorously over the phone. It was very difficult for me to get her attention. Eventually, I was given the chance to explain that I only wanted the original $120, but I would like her to consider tipping the maids for the 3 additional hours they spent. She agreed to pay them $15 each for the 3 additional hours of work. As far as why my team took so long, I have a theory. My Team Leader called me during the job and said that the house needed a lot of attention. Much more than we had thought. The client said her maid does the job in four hours so I expected us to simply fill in. Big mistake. I checked the square footage online and the house is 3500 square feet. My very best team that cleans 30 houses every week without complaint could not do that job with 4 labor hours. It would take them at least 7 labor hours. My Team Leader informed me that the client was inspecting my team room by room as they cleaned. I am sure she doesn't do that with her regular maid. For that reason, I believe there was quite a lot of built up dirt that you often do not notice in a very large home until you really look. Because the client was hesitant about new staff in her home, she inspected closely and pretty much discovered the dirt and dust her regular maid had been leaving behind for weeks. I wasn't in the home, but I know my team and this is my best guess on what happened. I am sure my team felt rushed since the job was so much larger than we expected and we had several regular clients lined up afterward. My regular Team Leader was out that week and her replacement did not have the savvy to explain that I had completely underestimated the job. Even so, I was willing to take a loss on the job to perhaps gain a client. I never got the chance to look like a good guy, when our discussion got so wonky. I hate how this turned out for the client and my staff. I have learned a lesson from this situation that many contractors follow religiously. I should never agree to a job unless I have inspected the home and communicated all the parameters the job requires. This was my mistake and all the miscommunication stemmed from that."

I am not sure what they did at my house but it ws not cleaning.  They would not clean the blinds, base boards, window sills, showers, accessories, pictures, etc. they would never move anything on the shelves or clean undaer and the sides of furniture.   I contacted the owner and he came to the house.  It improved breifly but then went down hill again.  I tried leaving them a note every week on what needed their attention but that did not help.  I did not think I should have to tell them what they needed ot clean since they were to clean the entire house.  They would not pick up small rugs and clean under them or clean under the beds.  The last time they came ot the house, I was home with a sick child.  They were 2.5 house late, stayed 80 minutes and gave me a hard time when I started pointing out what they had missed which was 80% of the house since you cannot clean a 2500 sq. ft. house in 80 minutes.  If you expect to have a clean house week after week, look else where.

He was very easy to work with and very accommodating. My brother has cancer and is not able to take care of his own condo. He had some experience working with folks like that before. He actually gave us an additional discount because of my brother's circumstance.

Michael and his cleaning team (in my case, Yas and Diana) are wonderful to work with. They come once a week exactly at the time they say they will be here. All cleaning work is thorough and complete. They respond with cheer to any special requests that I make. Michael (the owner) is very hands on and approachable. I enjoy having You've Got Maids as my cleaning service.

My appointment was scheduled between 2:30 and 3:00 and was supposed to be for 3 hours of cleaning.  At 3:03, I got a phone call that indicated they were running behind schedule, but would be here soon.  At 3:45, the owner finally arrived with two girls and did a quick walk through the house.  When setting up the appointment, I had described my house in great detail (rooms, pets, floors, etc) and everything seemed to be fine (it is only a townhouse afterall).  However, after doing the walkthrough, the owner indicated that the place seemed like a lot of work and that the groupon is typically only meant for three rooms (although this isn't mentioned anywhere in the groupon, nor on our phone call).  Within ONE hour, the girls were supposedly done with the entire downstairs (keep in mind that I have NEVER cleaned the entire downstairs that fast, even if just doing a quick once over).  At first glance, the rooms smelled and looked clean, but it was obvious that no furniture was moved and no heavy scrubbing was involved, as dust and dirt was still found in several places on the hardwood floors.  I'm not quite sure what happened to my 3 hours of cleaning, as after that first hour, they seemed to assume they were done and didn't even try to do any work on the stairway or second floor.
Overall, a disspointing and unprofessional experience (I didn't even feel like expressing my strongest feelings above), especially compared to other companies that are out there.

When I returned home, the house smelled clean, but upon walking through and looking around, there had not been anything significant done!  My glass carafe coffeepot was in pieces on the counter (purposefully placed there).  I walked through several rooms (my house is only 1200 sf) there was nothing done!  I moved a small stool in my sunroom, and underneath was lots of dirt!
It was very inconsistently touched-maybe the housekeeper in the car never got out- I felt totally ripped off!
I called the next day to speak with "Mike" (the owner)-After hearing my story, he stated he'd have to get back to me after speaking with the housekeepers-I stated that I certainly expected to be reimbursed the $17.00 for the coffee pot.  He said, certainly, and would call the next day.  I called 6/27, 6/28, 6/29 and left messages, not having my call returned yet.

"Member, I would first like to thank you for purchasing our Groupon. I want to apologize for the inconsistent service, as I do believe the first 3 hour session was satisfactory? It is never our intention to make our customers feel ripped off, and I am so sorry you had a disappointing experience. I personally delivered the check, and put it in your mail box since no one was home. I hope you were able to replace your coffee pot. I also apologize that you were quoted an exact arrival time; it’s standard in the service industry to give a window for arrival. We partner with the maids and allow a little grace in the event they encounter traffic, need a coffee break so they can be efficient in your home, etc… therefore, if we plan to arrive at 9am, you should’ve been told that the ladies will arrive between 9 – 11, for reasonable expectations. I’m sorry you were waiting. Finally, I apologize for the delay in returning your call. Many more Groupon’s were sold than I expected, and this will never happen again…we won’t run a Groupon like this, nor, will there be such a delay. We strive for great customer service and fell short. If there is any way we are able to redeem ourselves, I hope you would give us the opportunity. Once again, I do appreciate your business and your feedback."

They arrived in time with all their earth friendly supplies.  They went above and beyond what I expected.  They were here from 11 AM to 2 PM with three women.  The woman were very polite and even offered to help me bring my groceries in.  I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.
