Pleasant Places inc

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a landscaping service. They are not only liars and extremely rude but they have no integrity and they do not stand behind their work. They literally pulled plants out of the ground that were supposed to be carefully dug out and replanted and left them to die and then tried to charge us for new plantings.

We were provided a 1 year warranty.  Before the 1 year was up, I contacted JW Homes who told me to contact Pleasant Places directly since many of our shrubs had died.  Pleasant Places never returned our call.  When I discussed this with JW Homes, they called Pleasant Places who came out (I wasn't home, but the JW representative knew which had died) and said that they would replace the shrubs that died.  When they returned, they replaced 1 shrub.  The remainder they claimed were no longer under warranty since the year had expired.  They were not pleasant, in fact they were somewhat rude.

The process took us about 13-14 months to gather information (estimates, suggestions, soil testing) to complete.  We started back in the late spring to early summer of 2013.  Our contact was with Bryan Lane, a very knowledgeable young man.  He helped us with suggestions and ideas to bring back our sad yard.  Additionally, Bryan was very patient and attentive to our desires and questions.  We decided to wait until the spring of 2014 because the summer was becoming too hot to do the installation.







When the proposal came back, my husband and I were a little surprised at the bottom line.  We contacted Bryan and he agreed to come out to discuss our questions.  Bryan explained to us the importance of soil preparation to make certain our grass would thrive, thus we could better understand the costs.  As promised, he provided us with a care and maintenance schedule for keeping our grass healthy and alive.







The workers and Brian arrived promptly to begin the preparation for the sod.  They worked diligently to keep the work on schedule and when the sod arrived, they stayed late to complete putting it down so as not to leave it on the pallet overnight.  The work took about 3 1/2 days and we were very pleased with the results.







It has been about three weeks and our grass is beginning to grow and green up. We appreciated all of the trips Bryan made to our house to make certain all of our needs were met.  We are looking forward to a long friendly relationship with Bryan and will call Pleasant Places if we ever need them again.
