We have used Paul for several years for all of our AC needs.  He is always reliable, shows up when scheduled.  Does not try to sell you on unneeded services.  We have used him routinely for yearly maintenance and for any problems that may arise.  Paul installed a complete replacement heat pump split system at one of our houses a couple of years ago with no issues.  He met me after hours one time to investigate a problem, so I could be there after work.  His prices are reasonable. We recommend him.

We had another company come by several months ago to check on the A/C unit, and the guy told us that he had to replace the damper. The estimate he gave us said it would cost around $400 to get the replacement part and do the install. At that time, we had a home warranty but when we submitted the claim they told us they did not cover it because it was considered part of the ductwork (we dropped the warranty company). A friend of ours referred this company to us so we told them we knew the problem was with the damper. They said it would cost $80 to come out and evaluate it and if the work could be done in a hour that would be it. He arrived on time, and went through testing to make sure it was actually the damper causing the problem. He told us that the motor was fine, but that the gear was slipping due to some broken teeth. Once he was able to get it turned to use the good part of the gear, he ran a couple tests to make sure it was working right. Our total ended up being $90 ($80 for the hour and a $10 travel fee). We were thrilled to find out he saved us over $300 and didn't try to charge us for something we didn't need replaced.
