 + -1 moreFor a first time home buyer, this guy did not make the process easy for my spouse and I. We were bringing to the table 20% down with good credit. Loan processors/buying agent called our loan one of the easiest to work with, and we already had the money. At first, we did all of the house hunting ourselves, because we knew where we wanted to live. Mr. Wilkins did not take our initial visit seriously. He was very short with answers and led me to say to my wife "he seems like we wasted his time". After he found out we hired a buying agent (he shares his commission), he made sure we used his title company so he could check in on us. He did not want to answer any questions our insurance co. requested. After closing, he told us he left our keys at the new house, outside in the open. Spiteful.
Description of Work: My spouse and I became first time home buyers for a home that his company was a listing agent for. Mike Wilkins is the broker for this small company. For a first time home buyer, this guy did not make the process easy for my spouse and I. After he found out we did not want him to be both the seller 's agent and our buyer's agent and the contract was signed, he became unreasonable to work with. He gave our buyers agent ulcers (not literally, but you get the dramatic) and had provoked many confrontations with our agent that were unnecessary. Our home inspector and insurance company asked us a lot of questions we would not know (only the owner would know). He made it so hard to get those answers. We dealt with him only because the house is in an area that is having rapid growth projected in the next 5 years and it is going to be a great rental. I dealt with the " B.S." only because we will live in it 2 years while making improvements and rent it out to others.
