He was a scam. He claimed he was a one price deal, but he tried to get more money out of us every week. We wanted a tankless gas water heater, but he told us he was going to do gas because it was cheaper for him, so he was going to do what he wanted, not what we asked for. He built the home too low to the ground, so it didn't pass code. There were several code violations. An engineering company said we would have long term issues and the only way to correct all the problems was to tear down and redo.
Description of Work: They added on 1000 square feet and remodeled 16 rooms in a 20 year old ranch style home.

**WRONG BUILDER BEING SLANDERED!!** Low Country Custom Builders, Inc. (license #9796) in Mt. Pleasant, SC did NOT perform the work [Member Name Removed] is referring to. We have never worked in Lexington, SC and certainly did not work on Ms. [Member Name Removed]’s home back in 2008. I just found this review about our company today (7/12/19) and contacted Angie’s List immediately to have our company’s name removed from this review. Angie’s List has informed me they cannot investigate the claim as it is over 3 years old, nor remove the derogatory comments from their website even though our company DID NOT PERFORM THIS WORK. I was instructed to respond to the review to set the record straight which is why I am writing this today. Ms. [Member Name Removed], if you see this, I’d like to request that you please remove our name from this review and name the correct contractor who worked on your home back in 2008. We are a reputable company that has been in business 25+ years and an incorrect, negative review such as this impacts our business as this is a public forum. Please set the record straight if you see this, we would appreciate it very much. I truly hope the issues with your home were resolved and wish you the best. Thank you, K.
