All work was on schedule; different teams came in based on their expertise (plumbing, tile, glass work, paint). The coordination was outstanding.

This is the only company that I would ever use for my remodeling.  This was a small job and the attention given was outstanding.  The work was completed quickly and all of the workers were pleasant and professional.  I had high expectations of this company and they exceeded my expectations.  Jack was very helpful from the estimate process all the way through job completion even when we made some last minute changes.  He was quick with returning phone calls and the job looks amazing upon completion.  Thank you Kitchens, Baths and Beyond!

First, let me say that I hesitate to share our feedback since it's so divergent from many other reviews of this business.  We actually selected KB&B based on the positive reviews online as well as from neighbors.  That being said, we would not recommend them for custom tile work and were not pleased with the lack of understanding from the owner.
We paid 50% down for the job on August 12 and the work began on or around September 9.  This was actually sooner than they had committed to, so we were pleased with that!
The owner and handyman came the first day to prep for the tile guy - the handyman was very kind and professional and worked quickly.  The next day or so, the tile guy came to begin building the shower.  All seemed to go well initially.  However, when I mentioned to the tile guy where the grab-bar needed to go, he said he needed blocking put in - so the owner got on the phone with me and gave me a hard time for not reminding them the day before.  The work order that the owner left for the workers to follow clearly stated that KB&B was to install customer-supplied grab bar.  But apparently it was my job to tell the handyman what was on his to-do list - this theme continued thru-out the project - the owner did not serve as GC as I would have expected, but counted on me or my husband to do the checking and followup on pieces of the project.
Next, the tile was set and grouted in a few days.  That's where the main trouble began.  AFTER we paid the 40% tile set fee (now they had 90% of their money) we had a hard time getting anything accomplished in a timely manner.
We identified many issues with the tile job.  First, and foremost, the shower floor was not to code, had a slope on it that was inconsistent, felt like a roller coaster, and sloped faster than code dictates - making it uncomfortable to stand on.  In addition, since the slope wasn't smooth, water pocketed in places.  Secondly, the custom border was lumpy - sticking out in several places.  Many areas of detailed tile were not lined up, looking like someone just slapped it up.  And the grout was not complete on the tile back splash - again this was our fault according to the owner since we installed the faucets (at the direction of their handyman).  The owner told me I should only listen to him - not the handyman - perhaps if the owner were there for me to ask, I would have.
When I asked the owner to come by to go over the issues we'd found, he agreed - but it took several days until he could fit me into his schedule.  When he walked in, he was shocked by the number of sticky notes I had on things that needed attention.  As I showed him our concerns, and told him that we weren't asking for everything to be fixed, but just the main issues - the bad shower floor, the lumpy boarder - he said "you are a really picky customer"  When I asked him if he wanted this custom job on display in his showroom, he didn't answer.  I had to ask him to try draining water in the shower pan to see that it didn't drain properly and I also asked him to stand in the shower without shoes on.  He then agreed "it's not right and needs to be redone."
Now, several days went by until they were able to come out to fix.  The tile guy only ripped out part of the floor - not fixing it - actually making it worse - and attempted to repair the border.  During this process, he chipped the tub surface, the floor was still against code, and the border still looked bad.  At this point, we told the owner he needed to come back again - and we waited a week or so...  When he came and met with my husband, the owner said "you are right, the border looks like sh**"  but then in the next breath said "you are picky customers".  After my husband quoted the plumbing code issue, the owner suggested he "rip out the job and give you your money back" My husband said no, we just want these few things fixed correctly.
In answer to why the tiles weren't level/even on the wall, the owner tried to make the excuse that the wall behind the shower wasn't straight - but it was his tile guy that put in the backer board.  Next he tried to say the tiles were warped - but when you put a straight-edge on the tiles there were no gaps - no warping.  After all this, the owner opened the calendar on his phone and committed to having the tile guy come out and fix it right on Wednesday.
Next week came - and that day was now taken by another customer who had been "waiting for their tile to come in for weeks" We argued, to no avail - and finally they came in later that week.  Once the tile was done, we still didn't love it - but we were tired of arguing and just wanted to be done.
The glass company came in, installed the glass walls, and were wonderful.  They were professional, courteous, helpful and responsive.  I would definitely work with that glass business again.
The "one week" job was completed finally on November 3rd when we got a missing part from the glass company.  We had a few things left on the punch list we had given the KB&B owner in early October - but we were tired of waiting, so we finished them ourselves (caulking and cleaning up the tile guy's grout mess on the marble counters).
We never heard from the owner again other than to get the final invoice.  He didn't call to see if we were happy with the tile job, didn't check on the tub repair, didn't check on the glass install, didn't see the final product.
I guess our job wasn't "big enough" to warrant the service that other customers must have received from KB&B.  As a matter of fact, the tile guy and the handyman mentioned to me on more than one occasion that this job is "peanuts" compared to the other invoices we see.  I do hope that others have better experiences that we did with this business - perhaps previous customers didn't have custom tile work done - or perhaps the tile guy has changed over the years.  I now know, however, that I will not provide 90% of the payment until I am much happier with progress on a job.
All lessons learned for me.

From the concept of the bathroom, to the design, to the execution of our plan, we were very pleased. We were very impressed with all of the different tradesman working on our project. All of the workers were very professional, polite, punctual, courteous and extremely talented in their respective trades. Every morning, we received phone call from Kitchens Baths & Beyond LLC, letting us know what was on the schedule for the days work, we were never not informed of what was going on or who was coming out. Kitchens Baths & Beyond LLC did a very good job keeping us informed of the project status.  I am satisfied with the end results from both projects and I would highly recommend this company.

Jack was extremely good to work with.  The estimate we received was very detailed outlining the work to be completed.  When work began his employees were here when he said they would be and the work was completed in an outstanding manner.  When one crew completed their work another crew was there to continue the job.  When I had an issue, Jack responded quickly to see that my concerns were taken care of.  The job they did far exceeded our expectations and it was a pleasure to work with them.

The work started on January 5, 2015 with the removal of shower stalls, toilets, mirrors, cabinets, floor tile and parts of some walls and ceilings.  New built-in ceramic shower stalls and floors, granite counter tops, cabinets, mirrors, lights, fans, painting, etc., was completed over the next three weeks.  All of the workers - plumbers, electricians, painter, glass door and mirror professionals, and most especially, the tile installer - were excellent.  Also, Brittany, Jackie, Gene and Jack Demsheck were good to work with.  The job was completed in a surprising brief period, for which we were grateful.  Of course any such project is disruptive while it is going on and it is sometimes annoying when you don't know exactly when work will occur.  But the final result is amazing.  We invite friends to come and see our beautiful bathrooms and would recommend KB&B to anyone.

all rooms look fantastic.  We were flexible with our dates and really wanted it done before January 1st.  They were flexible and we agreed to do different rooms at different times over a three week span so we would have at least one shower to use.
We had some problems with our own supplied faucets not fitting the sink and the shower faucet not turning off.  This had nothing to do with them.  They were very understanding and moved things around while waiting 3 days to get new faucets.
All workers, plumber, tiler, painter, handyman were all very professional and pleasant.
Workmanship was high quality.
Jack the contractor was great.  Always checking to make sure things were ok and the quality was good.

Work took about 4 weeks to complete and all of the tradesman he used were very professional and very knowledgeable.  I can recommend Jack and I would use him again.  His showroom and assistant made the process very painless.  There was no going to 5 different showrooms or working with allowances only to find out what you needed cost more.  When there were any issues or miscommunications about the work Jack stepped in , responded quickly, and made sure the work was done as I wanted. I thought his price was in line with other estimates we received (ie, a fair price).

KBB is a great company to do renovation with.  I started with a Designer and quickly realized the kitchen would be beyond our budget.  I then spoke with Jack the owner and Mark the cabinet maker and I know we could realize our kitchen within our budget.  The quality of materials, the responsiveness of his team, the suggestions of Brittany on the design elements made this renovation easy.  We will definitely do our bathrooms with this team of professionals....and they were fun to work with.

I started working with KBB a few months ago after purchasing an Angie's List deal. I live in a 80-year old condo in downtown Charleston. The upstairs was in need of a remodel - it has two bedrooms, 1 small bath and awkward closets.  Jack & his team provided a very thoughtful and value-minded design that improved the functionality of my upstairs space while staying within the confines of my budget. They also provided an extremely detailed and well thought out estimate. I signed a contract in June & they started work in September. The work took a total of 4 weeks/3 weekends and they were only a couple of days over schedule. Had my house been a "normal" house with straight walls, easy plaster, etc. - I have no doubt they would have been ahead of schedule. I have worked with many contractors in the past and this is my first experience where I did not have to stay on top of them daily. Every night that I checked the progress, I was extremely pleased. They used quality materials, kept the space as neat as it could be kept, and paid close attention to ordinary details that many contractors overlook - like adding more outlets where needed and perfectly matching my moldings and doors to the existing style. They stayed on time and on budget. The only additions to my original budget were items that I requested. They also sent in a cleaning crew at the end and while I will still be cleaning for quite awhile as remodels and plaster work are extremely messy - it really helped having the cleaning crew hit the big things first! I have been back in for almost a week and couldn't be happier with the end result! I have no doubt I will be calling KBB again in the future!

Jack and the team did an outstanding job.

We had to wait for a direct shipment of the accessible version of the shower enclosure and the office kept us updated on the status.  The existing single piece unit was cut out in pieces but the new three piece unit had a large back wall that was almost impossible to get maneuvered up the back step landing but they somehow managed it.  The floor drain had to be moved and the plumber was available immediately when needed so the demolition/installation was completed in two days.  Because of differences in wall enclosure height, some drywall patching had to be done.  The finishing/repainting is so good it is impossible to tell where this was done.

For the kitchen countertop replacement, Jack patiently prepared several quotes for the cooktop wall (tile, granite splash, full granite wall).  The kitchen counters were templated and then the granite delivered and installed several days later.  Installation took a day.  Jack had recommended we extend the bar overhang so there was more room to pull up stools so some additional supports had to be fabricated and trim replaced after the counters were installed. This was done the following day.

The staff were skilled, knowledgeable, professional, and cleaned up at the end of each day.

We will definitely have Kitchens, Baths & Beyond do any other renovations for us.

We cannot say enough good about Jack and his professional team.  They used drop cloths, worked quietly, and cleaned every day.  We were not always home but the work continue.  Jack presented us with a comprehensive plan and did not pressure us to use his service.  It took almost three weeks, which was in line with his estimate.  Jack's storefront assisted us with the selection of fixtures, cabinets, tile, and flooring.  Jack has an extensive background in plumbing, which aided in decision making. Jack was in constant communication with us.  He returned calls promptly.
We love our new bathrooms!

We could not have dreamed of a better experience!! This was our first time using a contractor for any type of work and this will be our only contractor from now on. Jack was very professional through and through, along with Brittany, Jessica and the subcontractors. We contacted 3 different contractors, all with rave reviews from Angie's List. Jack was the first one we contacted because he was the one we were most interested in. He arrived on time as scheduled and got straight to work, providing us with ideas and giving suggestions at our request. We picked him first because we thought he would be most expensive and wanted to gauge the others accordingly. He ended up being the cheapest and personally I believe we could not have had better quality work done. We went to his showroom where he had plenty of choices for tile, granite, vanities..etc. When the work began we were a bit nervous at first because my wife is a stay at home mother and with all of the contractor/subcontractor horror stories out there you never know. It ended up being a very professional group of guys that came out. Very neat and tidy workers. Always had a drop cloth in hand. From the general laborer, plumber, electricians, painter, shower glass guys and the tile guys. All were very willing to answer my questions and more importantly my 3 year old daughters constant questions. There was one problem we had with the closet door hung the wrong way but was immediately corrected and the guys were very apologetic about the minor situation. At the end of the day they swept up everything and let us know what they completed and what was going to be done the next day. Even though we don't have any other experiences with contractors we really could not have imagined a better one. Thanks for the amazing bathroom!

The grout in the shower in our Master bathroom was breaking down, so we decided to replace it with a product that would not require grout. We spoke to Jack, the owner, and decided to go with Silestone (manufactured quartz). Jack mentioned that he had multiple projects going on, so we were concerned that it might take awhile to have our project completed. We had to special order the type of Silistone that we wanted. The project took about 2.5 months to complete once we made our choices partly because of this. Once the work began, it took a little over a month to complete. I initially assumed that the final touches, such as filling in the holes in the wallboard and touch-up paint, would be included in the estimate, but when I called to confirm, I was told it would cost a couple of hundred dollars extra. I was a bit surprised that finishing the job wasn't included (were they going to leave holes in our wallboard??). We also had to bring up the idea of adding shelves to our shower. Not a big deal, but the project would have been incomplete without them. Demolition went quickly. They used drop clothes throughout our house (unfortunately, one of the drop clothes made the whole house smell like diesel for several days). I wish that they warned me to cover our bed and bedroom furniture with sheets, because the entire bedroom was coated in a thick layer of dust (I probably should have known this would happen, but we have never done anything like this before). They did not clean up the dust. The biggest problem with demolition is that they left some pretty serious dents and scratches in our wood floors in the bathroom. Previously, these wood floors were the nicest in our house. Construction went smoothly but took about a month. My understanding is that it took so long because each piece of Silestone has to be cut to exact specifications and this takes quite some time. The finishing touches took a couple of weeks. We had to haggle with Jack about painting our baseboards, but he eventually did it. We supplied our own paint for the walls, but we did not know that they had to completely replace he baseboard near our shower, so we did not initially supply that paint. We noticed that the baseboard was bright white in contrast to the off-white/bone color on the rest of the baseboards and moulding (surprisingly, this was very noticeable). When I talked to Jack about it he was quite irritable and told me it was my fault for not supplying the paint. I explained that we did not realize he needed it, and he said it would cost too much to have the painter come out again. I figured that we would just do it ourselves, but, the next day, the painter fixed the problem. The plumber also had to spend a couple of hours fixing the faucet on our tub, but we did not have to haggle to get this done. Overall, we are very happy with our new shower and tub surround as well as the new glass around our shower. We will probably not work with Jack again primarily because the last couple of phone conversations I had with him were quite combative.

Overall we were very happy with jack and his crew. The renovation was extensive and surprisingly only ran a few days over. Jack was really good about responding to any concerns we had and worked to fix them. there were some issues with the floor and some drywall work, a wrong island cabinet ordered, but he corrected them. His electrician (Jason) and plumber (John) were really good and his cabinet guy (Mark) is the best ever! KB&B was higher than the other estimates we got but we liked Jack and felt like he would work with us.
He was really great about helping us select countertops, flooring and cabinets and never rushed us. (And he's a New Yorker so that was a plus!!)

Kitchens Bath and Beyond managed everything from beginning to end. They took down the elevated counter, contracted someone to get the quartz countertop and install it. They contracted a plumber to install the sink and disposal. They also patched the drywall and painted the molding. I had stools around the counter area which they cut down to better fit with the new countertop height. What more could I ask for! They did a great job.
