My pond is now broken, water plants dead or dying, fish dying. He refuses to fix it, has yelled at me, called me a liar and threatened to sue me for writing this review! He said I had not one squirrel but a rat infestation with evidence of multiple active access holes. The initial labor took about 4-5 man hours for setting trap(s) and installing metal screen cloth and taking apart the pond, which I explained worked perfectly as-is for 10 years and just needed a tightening of the connection hose. He insisted it was inefficient so was going to reroute it, removing the hard pipe. When I went to refill the pond, which had been just 6" from the top with a very slow leak before, it was nearly empty, the fish floating in a few inches of muck, the filter pot broken off from the hose and overturned on the ground. He refused any responsibility but said, since am a "nice person" he would get his helper and return to lift the heavy pot filled with filtering pumice stones and plants on top) and reconnect the hose. I left the next morning for an 11 day business trip. When I returned, nothing had been done. Reasonably understanding as the weather had been so cold, he would get back over soon. During 10 days of perfect weather I called and left him three messages. He finally called me back agitated, and refused to return and make the repair, accused me of trying to get him to work "for free," called me "crazy", and accused me of "lying" that he had ever said he would fix it, because he supposedly had said he would "try, if I have time." He added that his family was more important than his customers or their plants or animals, which I found odd, and he threatened to sue me for slander when I said I would then publish my experiences on Angies List. He added. "I have thousands of customers and you are the only person in the world who is unhappy with me!" FOLLOWUP. The promise to keep my home rat-free was broken when I had a rat in my kitchen over Christmas. He said it was due to a cable installer and not his responsibilty.
Description of Work: The owner was called to remove a squirrel from the attic, and when he arrived I asked if he would also make a minor repair to a leaking koi pond hose connection that I did not have the strength to reconnect. He specializes in all types of humane critter removal, including aquatic life, and said he personally had a very similar pond of his own so this would not be a problem.
