About us
Thank you for considering Chehaw River Woodworks. We are a family business that was started in 1990 to serve the people of the Charleston area. We back our service with years of experience and knowledge in the field of wood working and refinishing. We specialize in the restoration of fine antiques and also repair and refinish wood furniture of all types. In addition, we can custom craft furniture as well as modify newer pieces of furniture. (We do not modify true antiques). We also work with fire and flood damage remediation companies like Service Master of Charleston and Paul Davis Restorations to restore water and fire damaged furniture. We offer caning services including, caning and rushing. We are equipped with a factory grade finish system and apply designer paint finishes including chalk paint, lacquer, and interior and exterior oil based finishes.

One of the rockers had wood rot, and while they didn't cause it, nor should they have fixed it, they just painted over it and never mentioned it -- I would have thought a mention of the damage was appropriate.
All in all, they seemed uninterested in a simple project and gave it very little attention.
