"Thank you, Mr. [Member Name Removed]. It was a pleasure working with you and we appreciate that you took the time to write your thoughts in this review. Everyone here works hard to make your experience with Charleston Stump Stompers and Tree Service a good one, from your first phone call to the clean-up."
"Thank you for your review. Last year was quite the challenge with the amount of rain and soggy conditions. We also know how important communications are with our customers. It's a part of the process we are happy to do in order to make the entire experience with Charleston Stump Stompers be a good one. We appreciate your business!"

"We apologize. It is not like our office manager to miss a call. We will continue to work hard to make sure every call is answered or returned. We hope you give us another opportunity. Thank you."
"Thank you. We appreciate your business!"
"We apologize for any inconvenience. When you initially called, we did suggest that there were other companies who do just stumps and that the classifieds were a place we had seen some. We are a full service tree care company. When you called us back a month later, as our office manager suggested you might do if you had not found anyone else, she let you know that we had become very busy and booked out quite a way and would not be able to get to your stump in a timely fashion. Early spring weather does that to our business, and we are grateful when that happens. We are frustrated, however when very occasionally our name creates a misunderstanding and we take responsibility for that. Believe me, if we could, we would have changed it long ago if we knew what we know now. We added "and Tree Service" to it 26 years ago and made our byline on all our trucks and marketing materials say "Expert Tree Care", but the folks just kept calling us 'Stump Stompers.' It is what all of our customers have known and liked...and it is catchy, so they remember it for a long, long time. 75-80% of our business is from repeat customers. Almost 30 years ago, we did just do stumps, and our name stuck. Over 25 years ago we grew into a major tree service and stumps became a part of our total service and not a thing we do by itself unless we are very slow and can get to customers with stumps promptly and without throwing off the timing of our schedule. Our stump grinder needs to stay with our crews on the job in order to complete each one. We hope you understand and read our other reviews that show us to be a conscientious business who works hard to do and be the best we can be. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. You have also provided us with the opportunity to explain an important issue that we deal with every now and then. If we had been the company to take out the tree that went with your stump, you would not have had a stump left in the ground. Our tree service includes stump removal when we take a tree down, thus the grinder staying on the job. Sadly, many others don't and some don't even have grinders and never mention the stump until the customer is left with it. thank you for your time to read our response."
Charleston Stumpstompers had been recommended by a friend. When Chris came at the agreed time to see what had to be done and give me a quote he was very friendly as well as professional. His assessment agreed with what I had thought needed to be done and his price was very reasonable. The job required care since the oak was only 12" from the porch and very large limbs from the pine were overhanging the roof. Chris's crew came shortly after my getting ARB approval and in one afternoon they had done all the agreed work taken away the tree, all the limbs and cleaned up the area. All in all they did an excellent job and I would recommend them.
