I never write reviews because most people just give average service and I see no point in writing a review just to describe an average experience. These guys went above and beyond and did not ask me to write this, I'm writing this only because the great work they did made me happy. They removed 2 large trees and some small bushes. I had 4 companies give estimates for the job. Stump Stompers sent a professional estimator out the day after I called them. The other three services took a week to even give an estimate, if they even bothered. I called them several times before I finally agreed to the contract. Every time I either reached somebody or they called me back promptly, even if I didn't leave a message. Most contractors around here you have to call repeatedly and leave multiple messages. When I signed the contract, they told me 2 weeks and they were out here in two weeks. The other contractors were booking 6 weeks out and who knows when they will show up. And the cherry on top was they were the lowest bid. When they came out to do the work, I asked them to remove 3 large bushes that I hadn't included in the original contract. The owner, who actually does tree work himself along with his crew, gave me a great price for the additional work. I asked them to chop up some of the wood into firewood sized logs and they did it for free. They probably spent an hour cleaning up after the job and my driveway is cleaner then before they came. Do not hesitate to hire these guys!

I don’t typically give all 5 stars reviews, but Charleston Stump Stompers and Tree Service is truly worthy of it. We needed three trees removed (including one 40 foot pine tree) and stump grinded, a bush stump grinded and our front trees pruned. This order was made during the frequent storms we had late in 2018. Your ground needs to be pretty dry in order to prevent damage from the equipment needed to roll into your yard. Communication is very critical to me in regards to a company’s performance (almost as important as quality of service). This company’s communication is excellent as they went above and beyond to keep me informed about possible dates (due to weather), proposing to shift schedules to work with me and always make me feel like Priority #1. Their quality of work was outstanding and my yard looked even better than when they started. The staff is very friendly, local and down to Earth. Highly recommended! I have no problem recommending this company to neighbors asking about my tree work.

It went better than I could have imagined! The crew showed up this morning, Chris reviewed the plan with the foreman and me and work began immediately. The crew was efficient and professional. I was pleased with the clean up and the fact that the work was done in less than 8 hours.

Everything went as discussed, very professional company and excellent pricing.

They were fine, they were good. I had an issue but they corrected it, and that's all that matters.

Removed over a two day period . Not as planned but all came out fine.

Work was done quickly and cleaned up area. Dirt and mulch that was moved was put back and all the tree mess hauled away. Ground stumps deep and wide so new trees could be installed.

They were very helpful during the whole process which impressed me because of my lack of understanding of the whole process. Great, they were done in 2 days and left the property looking better than when they arrived.  We couldn't be happier with the result.  If we have any tree needs in the future, I will definitely use them again.

Charleston Stumpstompers had been recommended by a friend. When Chris came at the agreed time to see what had to be done and give me a quote he was very friendly as well as professional.  His assessment agreed with what I had thought needed to be done and his price was very reasonable.  The job required care since the oak was only 12" from the porch and very large limbs from the pine were overhanging the roof. Chris's crew came shortly after my getting ARB approval and in one afternoon they had done all the agreed work taken away the tree, all the limbs and cleaned up the area.  All in all they did an excellent job and I would recommend them.

Depsite the storm this past fall in 2015, Chris and his crew were timely and efficient in providing me with excellent service.  Chris the owner personally let me know that they had fallen behind schedule due to heavy rainfaill but gave me a back up date and stuck to it. The crew came, was professional, and did all their work quickly.  They did a great clean up then walked me through the service to make sure they had completed what I wanted done.  All in all, great service at a fair price with reliable and nice people.  Highly recommend.

We had three other tree companies come to our house, give a quote, and then completely flake out and never complete the service, so we were starting to think we would never find a quality tree trimming service. We found Stump Stompers on Angie's list and they came out immediately after called, and gave a fair quote on removing a stump, overgrown vine and trimming back many of the trees in our backyard. They said they weren't open for several weeks, so we scheduled for a date then, but we got a call the next week, where they said they had an opening and ended up getting all the work done before our family was in town for Thanksgiving! We were beyond thrilled with their professionalism, quality work and commitment to fit us into their busy schedule. We will be a client for life now!
