Porcher's Paint and Design

I am writing to formally complain about the services provided by Porcher s Paint & Design LLC on June 4-5, 2024, at my residence. Here is the summary of the services I requested:  Pressure wash the entire deck (upper & Lower)  Strip the old paint/stain from the deck (upper & Lower)  Apply statin to (upper & Lower) deck I am extremely dissatisfied with the service because the requested tasks were not completed to a satisfactory standard. On June 4, 2024, Mr. Porcher and his assistant began the project, but Mr. Porcher encountered difficulties stripping the paint with the chemical stripper and subsequently charged me (added to invoice $136.65) for purchasing a sanding machine. The entire job was completed in two days. However, consultations with other professionals indicate that such a job should typically take 3-5 days. On June 6, 2024, I contacted Mr. Porcher to report that the stain on the deck was peeling. I provided photographic evidence wherein it was apparent that the paint wasn t properly stripped before the stain was applied, leading to peeling when items were moved on the deck. His response attributed the issue to rain interfering with the drying process, and he attempted a correction that still did not involve adequate paint removal. Consequently, the issue persisted with additional problems such as dripping paint, improper color application, paint on unintended surfaces like my house and fencing, and misses spots. Despite repeated attempts to resolve this issue by contacting Mr. Porcher and providing detailed communications and records, the problems remain unaddressed. Therefore, I am requesting a refund of $2,000.00. I will need to hire a professional to: o Strip all of the paint Pressure wash the deck again o Reapply the stain correctly I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to resolving this issue amicably.
