Action Abatement & Demolition

Action Abatement and Demolition agreed to remove the siding containing asbestos from the house for $2,000 and then to haul away the foundation for $400 after the rest of the house was taken down by another company.  They arrived to do the asbestos abatement as scheduled. They removed the siding and wrapped it in plastic for disposal.  When I was on the site, I did not see them lay down plastic around the house, which I have seen done elsewhere, but I'm not sure if that is required in SC.  
Though Action Abatement and Demolition did the asbestos abatement, they did not follow through with the foundation removal.  They told me they would be able to do it about a week after the rest of the house was removed.  A date was scheduled, but they never showed up.  When I called, they said that some other projects had put them off schedule and that they would do the job the following week.  The following week arrived and again they didn't show up.  I called the office and asked the receptionist to have the person coordinating the job call me, but I received no return call.  I called several more times, left more messages, and still did not receive a return call.  At one point, I was able to speak with another employee and asked him to have the owner personally call me to schedule the job, but still I never received a return call.  Completely frustrated, I hired someone else to do the foundation removal.
I can only surmise that the company didn't want to do the job because they concluded that they had under bid it and that it was not worth doing.  But rather than re-negotiate the price or just tell me they wouldn't do the job, they decided to ignore it and waste my time and potentially throw my project off schedule.  I have never encountered such unprofessional behavior in a business.  Appointments are not kept, calls are not returned, work is not done, and no explanation is provided.  Nobody takes responsibility and nobody follows through.  A terrible company.
