They gave me a price based on what they said was quite a large job. I am not familiar with this type of work so I didn't have a perspective of the amount of time it would take. I was charged $1,500 for 5 hours of work and parts costing probably $60 or less. I feel like they took complete advantage of my situation. I can not get over the fact they over charged me to this extent. I have spoked to several people since then and every one is shocked at the lack of professionalism and respect for people in a difficult situation.

"We deeply apologize that you feel this way. We came out on days 2/26 and 2/27 of 2020, was called out due to pin hole on cold water line under house; Cut cold water out under house welded half inch copper to PEX adapter; ran from under house to under kitchen sink inside the home with new cut off; Re hooked to faucet, upon reviewing found drain for kitchen sink in wall had various holes; The tech had to cut the wall behind the cabinet all the way to vent; Took pipe wrench unscrewed inch and a half drain; replace back the drain with PVC from vent back to the cabinet; Cut old strainers off sink due to such corrosion; Install 2 new strainer baskets, new waste arms P-trap and hooked it into the new PVC outlet from wall; Filled sink, showed owner no leaks no problems; We provided everything including labor necessary for job, on top of price was gave up front before any work began, the invoice was signed before job started and amount was approved with all required work to be done. Due to the scope of work and varieties of issues the price was fair; It is up to the homeowner at any point if they did not feel comfortable to check around for other prices. We stuck to the contract that was signed before job was started and completed every scope of work that was needed completed. We appreciate your business and we stand behind our work. I was quoted a fair price and there were no hidden charges even though the plumber was there 4 hours. Greg, the plumber did an excellent job and explained to me every step he took in the repair. He didn't rush any part of the job and I could tell he wanted to do the job right the first time. I had the install a water heater I had previously purchased and replace a water pressure regulator that was causing me high water pressure. It is always a pleasant surprise to find an honest company that cares about their customers and their work.I wouldn't hesitate to call Staten Plumbing for any of my plumbing needs.

Install went okay; however, the discussion and the quote included removal of the unnecessary water lines. I made it clear and it was stated back to me that the unnecessary lines would be removed. Instead of removal, all were pulled under the house into the crawl space, plugged, and left loosely hanging, unprotected and exposed to the elements. The plumbers also left much of the debris laying instead of cleaning it up. They then rushed me to rate them on Google so I could get a 5% discount as they rushed off to another job. Only giving a C because at least the new work completed appears to have been done well.

I went under the house to move a spigot and discovered that the pipe leading from my kitchen sink was busted and everything that went down the sink has been dumping directly under the house for who knows how long. The garbage disposal was dumping down there, so you can imaging how gross it was. Greg arrived within an hour, assessed the situation, and gave me a quote that was about half of what I expected. He was friendly and professional, and he somehow managed to get in and out without getting coated in year-old kitchen runoff. I even had him move the spigot while he was here, saving me a bunch of time at a reasonable cost. When plumbing issues come up, I usually try to fix them myself, and I dread calling a plumber for fear of ridiculous costs. Greg did the job so quickly and economically that I may never try a do-it-yourself fix again.

After getting quotes from several other plumbers, we read multiple positive reviews for Staten Plumbers. We spoke with Greg Satterwhite and after receiving his quote, which was a little higher than the others, we decided to go with Staten because of the reviews. It turned out to be a great decision. As our house is over 20 years old, the plumbing needed a lot of general maintenance work – replacing supply lines, and replacing toilet kits and faucet kits. Greg came out when he said he would, and did all of the work in a professional and timely manner. He was thorough and actually did more than we expected – cleaning the faucet aerators, actually cleaning the toilet tanks, and just generally making sure that everything was just right. He checked our water heater and water pressure even though we hadn’t even thought to ask him to do that. He gave us a lot of good advice on maintaining our plumbing and septic systems that will save us time and hassle in the future. We will be recommending Greg and Staten Plumbing to our friends without reservation.

Outstanding workmanship. Plumbers Dustin and Jason were true pros and completed the job and cleaned both bathrooms and the crawl space of all job debris. This company’s focus is on customer satisfaction, extremely reasonable cost and quality work. Before calling the high dollar competition, give this family owned, BBB A plus rated business a call. You will be glad you did! We are. All our future plumbing needs will be handled by this company. Nick was great. He educated me on the plumbing components and described what happened. He was genuinely concerned, knowledgeable and helpful. We talked about things we could do to prevent future issues. I was thoroughly impressed. I will ask for him every time we call them. Great customer care. He also changed out some other things that needed attention. Great service for a great price.

They were terrific. The price was very reasonable. They were on time, very nice and very helpful. I had questions, throughout the process, before they were retained because I had to buy a sink. I had a tile counter in the kitchen, so it had to be a specific size. They were super nice. They were there when they said they would be. Any time I called, I had no problem getting a hold to them which is sometimes a problem. They returned my calls when I had questions. They did not mind if I called and had a zillion questions. They were always nice and friendly. That's hard to come by today, believe it or not. I will definitely use them again. When I need a hot water heater, I will be calling them. It took two workers a less than two hours. They left the area cleaner than when they arrived. I told them not to clean the floor but they did it anyway. They were young but knew what they were doing.

Dustin did a great job. While he was working on the leak, I decided that I wanted to upgrade the tub fixtures. He answered pertinent questions and gave me a quote for the job. He was able to complete the upgrade that same day. I am very pleased with the work and with Staten Plumbing.

This was the only "24/7" plumber in town that could service my call on a Wednesday at 6 pm. It was an emergency. I had to turn all of the water off to the house, as well as the hot water heater. After my first inquiry call, the technician called me within 5 minutes and was at my house within 30 -- all after my regular plumber and Benjamin Franklin, Roto, etc. could not take my call until tomorrow. He was extremely thorough and professional and fixed the problem within minutes! He had the complete Moen part he needed on hand in his truck. He was friendly, left the job site totally clean and thoroughly explained the issue to me -- educating me for future reference I would definitely recommend this plumber again and again! Staten Plumbing saved the day.
