Morris Animal Clinic

I have used Dr. Morris for the past 4+ years and although I do not have anything bad to say.....  In this small town, there are not a lot of vets close by.  I chose this vet because they were close by and they could get me in.  Dr. Morris did, and continues to do, a great job in trimming my dog's nails.  My dog has to have his anal glands expressed almost monthly and Dr. Morris does a very good job with that.  However, we seem to have a constant battle with skin issues.  There for about 6 months, I was having to take him almost monthly because of some breaking out on this skin and itching.  We changed food, shampoo and added olive oil and sprays to help him.  It finally got better.  Now about a year and half later, we seem to be having some of the same issues.  It has been diagnosed as a fungus and am being told that with as much rain as we have had this summer it doesn't help.  Dr. Morris appears to care about the animals but there is something that I just can't put my finger on that I don't know.  Medicine is not an exact science and when you can't get immediate results we start questioning what is being done.  The staff is great and cares for my dog with the utmost love.  Of course no one cares or loves my dog like I can!  They boarded my dog over the 4th of July week when they were going to be closed but took him on because of the skin issues.  The employees told me that, even though there was someone who came in daily to check on the animals, they came in and checked on him and Dr. Morris came back early from his vacation and he checked on my dog.  I believe he truly does care about the animals.  In speaking with others I have heard the run of opinions from "He is great" to "I would not use him". I hope that others will weigh in on this and give their opinion on Dr. Morris and his staff. Until this skin issue is cleared up, I will continue to see him.
