Mastrand Custom Decks is a locally owned and operated company based in Longs S.C.. We have been proudly serving Long Island since 1979. All of our work is performed by and under the supervision of Tom Mastandrea, Owner and master carpenter. We are fully licensed and insured and are in good standing with the Better Business Bureau, as well as Consumer Affairs. Quality is priceless. We had an excellent experience in utilizing Tom in building an extension, new flooring and railings for our back deck and new front railings to match for our front porch.  Tom was on time, on design and within budget. His workmanship is awesome! He does not cut corners. He also had a couple of design ideas that enhanced the final product. I would never hesitate to have Tom build another deck, pergola etc.. Truly an outstanding job and would highly recommend!Â

He gaslights you to believe that the job he's doing is sensational, but, in the end, he put shortcuts in by not using clips, not having even cuts, and not leveling the deck, only to find out when the deck settles that its a disaster.

Tom was very professional. Came to give us a quote with sample of all his products and finished pictures of work he had completed. He showed up at 7:00 AM every day until project was completed, which if the materials arrived as planned, would have just taken 2 days. I addition to removing and replacing our deck, we also had Tom add a roof over deck. The deck is so sturdy that we have no doubt it will last longer than the house. I would highly recommend Tom to all my friends and family.

Absolutely fabulous work. Tom and his assistant showed up every morning on time and got right to work. All the carpentry work is done by Tom personally. At the end of each day they fastidiously cleaned up the work area and stowed their tools. The finished product is a work of art!! He is a true craftsman who takes extreme pride in his work. We couldn't be more impressed with his work ethic and the finished product. I would highly recommend him for and decking project.

For anyone looking for someone to build a deck this is the guy to call. This was my first experience working with a contractor. Tom walked me through the process and made my experience pleasurable. He was here when he said he would be, finished the job in a timely manner, and did an amazing job. I would also say his prices are reasonable for all the hard work he put into to building my deck. Would definitely recommend and will be hiring him again when in the position to enclose the deck.

Tom and his crew were great to work with! They worked through the snow and rain to get my deck done. I had a vision for my deck with a privacy wall and Tom and his crew nailed it! Price point was very reasonable. Tom is very personable and was quick to respond to my phone calls and emails. My backyard was spotless after every time they came. Replaced a front porch deck and repair a couple of existing decks. Tom is personally on the job with an assistant. Both are pleasant to deal with and are eager to please. They are neat and cleanup after themselves. They are reliable and have good workmanship and the price is reasonable. Highly recommended.
