In July 2014, I picked out the tile and made arrangements to have it installed in my house in Longs, SC in September 2014. I still live in New York State and that was the next trip planned to Myrtle Beach. I called them in August to verify the tile was ordered and the installation date. I booked a hotel room at that time also because I would not be able to stay in my house for one night. I flew down specifically for this installation. I came to the store September 12 to verify that the installation was still scheduled for Monday, September 15. The sales person that I worked with was not in the store and they said she would call me back. When she called me back, she told me the installation would not happen as the tile has fallen off the truck. I was furious because I didn't believe that story, and told them I wanted my down payment of $600 back. Then all of sudden she said she would see if she could get the tile delivered in a couple of days. I had to reschedule my hotel room, which now cost me more money. They did schedule the installation for September 18 and 19. The guys came on those days. The following Monday they were scheduled to come back to put the quarter-round moulding in and they did. After that, the carpet guy was suppose to come to put the carpet back to the tile floors. He didn't show up on Monday. I called on Tuesday and they said he would come them. I waited all day and he never showed. I was leaving on Wednesday to fly back to New York in the afternoon. He finally showed up on Wednesday morning two hours before I had to leave. I just made it to the airport to catch my plane. With all that went on those several days of the installation, I didn't really look at the floors that good. I didn't get back to Myrtle Beach until February 2015 because I had knee surgery. When I looked at the floors, I noticed the grouting was cracked next to the bath tubs and also several pieces of tile in the master bathroom were cut crooked and not the same length as the other ones in that row so the grout line was very thick. I called the store and told them about it and they promised to send someone out to fix it. I've called several times and stopped in the store twice and each time they promise the installer will come. It has been over a month since my initial phone call and still no response. I will have to hire someone else to fix their problems. I had planned on buying carpet for my house from them, but not now with this poor service. I will also tell my neighbors and friends not to deal with them.

There was some disconnect between Williams Carpeting and the installers with whom they subcontracted and not all new thresholds were installed even though we had paid for them. We contacted Williams and the installers' crew chief returned the next day and made everything right. We were satisfied with the level of service and would use Williams again.
UPDATE:
About 20 months later, we noticed a nail was coming up where the family room carpet met the kitchen tile floor. Upon calling Williams, they told us we would have to call an installer and pay for the repair ourselves - they don't stand behind their installation for more than a year. So, we didn't use Williams when we replaced carpeting in two bedrooms and tile in two baths, and we won't be using Williams in the future.
