Installer WEB-DON placed seams in the counter top at the corners of 2 sinks. I told them that that was not the way laminate should be installed because of the risk of water leakage at the seam next to the sink. They reassured me all was ok, I would not have a problem. Well I have a problem. the seam does indeed leak and the laminate is popping up. Just like I told them it would happen. My fathers' company installed countertops for 50 yrs. I helped install many tops. I knew that a seam in laminate should never be located at the sink but this was in my office and I needed that room back up and running. So I took them at their word that if any problem developed that they would fix it. Now they produce a letter that I signed before they installed the top that absolves them of water damage. I should have paid more attention to what I signed. This is a deceptive business practice and a deceptive countertop installer for Home Depot. And as I understand it they are the installer for all of the local Home Depots. BUYER BEWARE. Home DEpot did say I could appeal to a 3rd party. I will do so. I will post the final resolution.
