They came when they said they would and did what they were asked to do.

Very disappointed in this company. The customer service rep lost our account after saying we were never a customer. When we produced an old bill the OWNER literally said he doesn't want our business.

When we bought our home last March, there was a gas log set in the fireplace. We called Palmetto and a sales woman came out and told us they would have to come out and set a time to install the tank and install the gas line. We paid them $358.71 and then fired up the log set and it didn't put out any heat. I called Michelle, the sales woman, and told her it wasn't putting out any heat and she said they're made for looks and not for heat. (I spoke with my neighbor who has a wood burning fireplace and told them I wanted the propane tank removed and a refund on what was left in the tank because my fireplace is also able to use wood, and they said no problem.) I disconnected everything so they would just have to pick up the tank. They said they were busy with installations and it would be about 7-10 days before they could come. I called them again after about a month, and they said someone would come out that week. Another two weeks went by, and I called back and got a voicemail. I left them a voicemail requesting the refund again and asked them to come pick up the tank. Finally, a man came to pick up the tank. I helped him with it and I asked for a receipt for what was left in the tank and he said they don't give receipts and not to worry and the office would take care of the refund. Today I got a refund check in the mail which should have been about $180 for the refund and it was $92.88 instead because they charged $90 fee to pick up the tank. I feel I was completely misled by the sales person in what the fireplace would do and was totally ripped off.

It is a propane company. I left them because I didn?t like them. I liked them until they didn?t fill a tank twice, but they charged me for a 40-pound tank. However, when I got home and weighed it was 2 pounds short. I then complained and he said he would send me a free tank, but he never did. So, I went with somebody else. I ended up liking them better because the other company would weigh the tank beforehand and didn?t charge me for whatever was still in the tank. Whereas Palmetto didn?t weigh the tank ahead of time and any propane that was in the tank was lost. Their quality was a problem because they didn?t fill up the tank. Their responsiveness was all right. When it comes to their punctuality, it was I who went to their store. They were professional. They used to charge about $29 for a 40-pound tank and I used to get one about every two or three weeks during the winter. I use it for a fireplace and I wouldn?t use it much in the summer.
