It took a bit to get someone to respond my call, but the service was great. Great job on the floor remodel! This house sold quickly.

Floor ok but the trim they replaced was terrible. The baseboard they installed was 2 different heights in the same room and was never fixed. The paint and caulking looked like it was done by a child. When the owner was told about it, he was rude and acted like we shouldn't be complaining about it. Will never use this company again.

I really wanted to give a great review.  I liked Wayne so much.  The selection was the best that I saw anywhere and he was fabulous about letting me take samples home to try.  The end product looks wonderful -- for the most part.   However - I wasn't prepared for the amount of mess it would make.  As a handicapped person, I just wasn't capable of doing the clean-up involved.  There was an extra $159 added at the end for painting the baseboards in the bathrooms even though we discussed the fact that I wasn't capable of getting down there to paint them.  The painters put on one coat and didn't leave the paint.  The carpet installers made a lot of marks on the walls.  It looks as though they might have had tools in their back pockets and scraped against the walls.  I don't have any touch-up paint.  I have some that is close but has a tiny bit more sheen so it's always going to show a little.  And in 2 places, I will have to replace some spackle on corners where the metal edge is showing.  The carpet is beautiful except for a spot at the entrance to the master bath that the installer said was the best he could do because of the tile.  Looks bad. On the other hand-  I have to praise them for the excellent job they did of cleaning up the garage when they finished.

Tile Work: I had corrective tile work done in the kitchen from a previous and unrelated install. The clean up was poor, and the Epoxy grout was left on the tile in places, and some on my hardwood floors. I was told by the installer, that they would return later that same day to do additional clean up and to wipe the floor down again. That did not happen. During this same visit a few tiles had to be pulled up and reset. They were reset uneven, meaning the grout lines and the tile itself did not line up with the tiles that were not pulled up. Also upon closer inspection the quarter round trim pieces that were removed to do the work were not nailed back down, and in fact were placed up against the wall in such a way to appear as if they had been. Additionally one of the pieces has been broken in the removal process, and made to appear like it was still one piece. None of this was imparted to me. I spoke with Wayne Whiteside about this work, and my displeasure with the technician and the work as a whole. He later had the quarter round trim pieces nailed back down by the painter, however one of the pieces was still not nailed back down correctly.
Exterior Paint work: I had all the trim on the outside of my house repainted including my shed and some minor trim pieces replaced on the shed. The overall paint job was average at best, and poor in some areas. By August the paint on one of the exterior doors was peeling, and in October I noticed that a trim piece on the shed was peeling as well. At the same time I spoke to Wayne in May about my displeasure with the tile work, I spoke with him about the quality of the paint job. I called Wayne about the peeling paint on October 18th or 19th and once again expressed my overall displeasure with the paint job. While he did come to my house within a few days (he came on October 23rd) to inspect the work and stated he would send someone back out to do touch up work, it has been over 3 weeks since his visit and I have not heard back from him.
I could not in good conscience recommend this company to anyone I know, and at this stage am not sure this issue will get resolved to my satisfaction.
Response from Lexington Paint and Flooring Co
"I need to address both issues..First the tile..Where we, as a company, do not do tile repairs, I made an exception in this case..We cannot correct other tile setters installations..We removed the grout & installed new. This will not correct set tile issues. This is also a messy job and we will not offer this again, short of total tile replacement...As far as the paint issues, [member name removed] had her own paint(not one of our lines) and it was applied correctly..If the paint fails, it is an issue with the paint mfg..We did supply some paint for the shed and it did not fail, except for where an animal had chewed it off..Regardless of this, we did have one of our other painters address all these issues since this negative response was written..On a final note, the delay in this was partially due to the amount of rain fall we had at this time..We are always sorry when a customer is not satisfied, but it is my belief that this cannot happen here..I am satisfied that we have done everything possible to make this happen....Wayne Whiteside"

When we called for a quote, they set up a day and time to come and look at kitchen. They immediatly gave us a quote and explained everything on the quote. When they started the job, they showed up on time. The guys relocated all appliances and started on the floor. In 2 days they had replaced some of the sub floor and put down the new vinyl. Then they put the kitchen back together just the way they found it. We had asked them not to put a piece back on center isle and they did exactly what we wanted. These guys are very professional and would love to use them again. Thanks to all at Lexington Paint and Floor.

The work went very well. After picking out the floor Wayne got us pricing from different quality manufacturers aqnd we selected the flooring. The painting was done very quickly but carefully. In three days the celling and walls were painted. It took three coats (one of them a sealer) to cover the panneling and stained trim. The flooring we had selected ended up being held up in customs, Wayne was able to find the same flooring from another manufacturer. It took three days to remove the carpet, tack strips, and padding, prepare the subfloor, and install the new hardwood floor. We were very pleased with the job. The workers were there when they said the would be, did a professional job and cleaned up before leaving each day. The painter also came back the last day to paint the baseboards and touchup any spots needed. Also Wayne check with us several times during the work to make sure everything was ok and if there anything else we needed.

Trey was our contact person from beginning to end of our project. We picked out the flooring, he gave us a sample to take home to be sure it was what we wanted. From there, Trey came out and measured every room in our house for any future flooring we may have them do. The next week we went back to their store, paid half up front and set up an installation date. Trey called 3 or 4 days later to let me know the fooring was in. I had asked him to do this because I wanted to pick up the flooring myself and bring it into my house to let it acclimate to the temerature and humidity levels in my house. One week later, the installers showed up on time and went to work. These guys (2) are pros. They did an excellent job and did it quick. When they finished, they cleaned up every bit of trash and scrap leftover pieces. They vaccuumed the dust off of the floor and that was it. Job done. I moved my own furniture. I removed my old carpet, padding, staples and tack strip around the wall.

Contact at the store was Trey and Wayne, both were very helpful with our decision and purchase. Contractors ran a little later that the appointment time but got right to work and were done in less than 2 hours. Were to replace quarter round in one bathroom and I was going to complete other repairs in the other along with the quarter round. We had a miscommunication and they were going to reuse the old quarter round. I didn't want that and thought we included new in the price. Found out we hadn't. Not a major issue as I installed the new quarter round myself. Will reuse them in the near future for the kitchen flooring.

Fine. I looked through their samples and found the flooring I wanted. It was ordered and came within a week. They called me and said it had come and for me to let them know when we were ready for it to be installed. A week later I did that, and the installers came the next day. The work was done quickly and efficiently. No problems whatsoever. We have used this company many times before and are always pleased. We buy all our paint from them as well.
