In 2021 we hired Killman to replace our upstairs AC unit. Within several months the unit was not working. When we called Killman for a service charge on the newly installed unit, they told us they were too busy to come out and we should call another company. We were shocked that they would not stand by their work. When I wrote a review on Google that reflected their lack of customer service the owner called my 90 year old mother ranting about the Google review and harassed and scared her so much she asked me to remove the review. Because she was upset and in tears as a result of his phone call, I removed it. (During his phone call he never offer to repair his work - his only concern was the Google review.) We then called another company to come out and fix it (they came within a day by the way). They told us the unit was not installed properly and not installed to code, so it kept tripping the breaker and the compressor was shot. The compressor was replaced at a big cost to us. And we have had intermittent problems with the unit ever since the install. Now it is not working AGAIN and the HVAC company who came out told us the because the unit was improperly installed, the unit keeps failing in all different ways so a replacement is the best option. In looking at this company's Google reviews you would think they walked on water, but in our experience of being harassed to remove a bad review, it's not surprising. I would recommend you avoid this company at all costs.
Response from Killman Heating & Air
"This is not a legitimate review. All of this is false. We called Angi to let them know that this is a false review. They would not help us. When stated that we would hire a lawyer to help us with this matter the representative said he would no longer speak to me. I think it is important to note that Angi's unaccredited rating on the Better Business Bureau's website is 1.98 stars."

It has been just over a year and I typically don't write reviews but this one deserves my time. I replaced both HVAC units, replaced all existing duct work, added two returns for better air flow on the upper level, installed additional vents in three existing rooms, and added an additional unit to a detached garage. I was impressed, Killman Heating & Air did everything they promised and in two days beating their time projection! They are true professionals that live within our community and take great pride in their work. I had a small problem with one of the units approximately seven months after installation and when I called for repair their accommodation to my problem was stellar. Their Immediate concern, care, attention and response time was extraordinary. Although it will be quite sometime before I am in need of HVAC work these people need to be recognized and will be recommend by me!

Another great job. They were on time, professional and didn’t price gouge me on a new filter which I could have bought on and Amazon and installed myself if price was not compatible. Highly recommend this family owned business. They installed 5 ton heat pump 3 years ago and still great service

Adam was on time, professional and explained exactly what he was doing for the annual cleaning and inspection Killman’s had installed 2 years earlier. Didn’t try to force the sale of filters or anything else. Will continue to use and recommend this local family owned company.

The initial installation in the summer, was to put in a new 4 ton unit. The price was fair. Most importantly, they were timely. They were able to get us back cooling down and the house cooled off, the same day.

Highly recommend this family owned business built on hard work ethics and Christian faith. Being family run their technician are not on commission and didn't try to over sale or fix something not broke like duct work. Our 14 year system was costing more to repair and time to replace. Installed a 4 ton 14 seer Trane heat pump Andy Killman the owner and his son, along with a couple others showed up on time and extremely polite and helpful.

The Killman's were professional and timely. Mr Killman kept me updated on the process along the way and they performed all quoted work. I especially liked that Killman provided me with several options with different price points that met my budget.

This is a family owned and run company and the pride in their work and friendly service are evidence of their commitment to long term success. We will certainly call them again if we need HVAC service in the future. Our upstairs unit needed to be replaced. We had an estimate from another local company but called Killman for another estimate because of recommendations from two neighbors in our neighborhood. We chose them because their price was lower on a 3.5 ton Trane (vs an inappropriately small 2.5 ton equally reputable brand offered by his competitor) and the worker who wrote the estimate, the owner's son, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He offered to repair our unit for < $1000, but I insisted on a complete replacement since our old unit had well-known issues that would probably result in failure again in the near future. They came out when they said they would (quickly thank goodness as the days were 100F), cleaned up after themselves, and the unit appears to be properly installed (it keeps the upstairs cool). Given the friendly and reliable service, the price, and the number of options they offered, I will recommend Killman to friends, family and neighbors when they need HVAC service.

I like to support local businesses whenever I can. Killman Heating and Air is one such business which has consistently provided me with excellent service for over ten years. I wouldn't consider hiring anyone else to work on my heating and air systems. This is a family run business whose staff are honest, reliable, professional and very personable. I enjoy doing business with them and highly recommend them to others. These are folks who have a great work ethic and really do care about customer satisfaction. They show up when they say they will and if they are running late or sometimes early, they will call to let me know. As a customer I appreciate that. If you hire them to do some work, I think you'll be very satisfied.

My wife and I have relied upon Killman Heating and Air for preventive maintenance services for over two years. Recently, our air conditioning system stopped working. No air would blow from the vents, even with the fan control in the and quot;ONand quot; position; and we found that the breaker for the circuit had opened. We had experienced some strong storms nearby recently and I suspected a power surge damaged the blower motor.

I called Andy Killman and he was able to drop by our house the next day. (There was no emergency and the weather had cooled off, otherwise I have no doubt he would have tried to come the same day.) Andy checked out the system. He was really good about answering all my questions and explaining what he was looking at. Unfortunately, both the blower motor and A/C compressor were damaged and not functioning. Andy patiently explained my options, including replacing just the components, or replacing the entire unit. Due to the age and general condition of the unit, I elected to replace the unit; opting for a more efficient unit in the process (SEER 12 to SEER 14).

Andy was able to replace the unit two days later. He and his crew showed up as promised and had the old unit removed and new one installed and operational within 3 1/2 hours. The charges were exactly what he quoted me, and he cleaned up the site and hauled away and disposed of the old equipment as part of the deal. He also let me know about an available SCEand G rebate and filled out his part of the paperwork. Mr. Killman even purchased some bricks and placed them under where the new unit slightly overhung the existing pad, which improved the appearance of the area significantly.

Mr. Killman and his crew were prompt, competent, professional and courteous. Andy is fair and straightforward in his business practices. In short, I would recommend Killman Heating and Air without hesitation.

Killman Heating and Air is a family run business that provides excellent customer service. I have used them to service my heat pump for many years. Last year they intalled a new unit after my old unit failed. The staff are courteous, knowledgable, prompt, honest and helpful in making sure that I am completely satisfied with the work that they do. I wouldn't consider having anyone else work on my system. I would recommend them highly to anyone in need of heating or air conditioning services.

My AC stopped working the evening prior to the service call. I contacted Killman Heating and Air early the next morning and left a brief message describing the situation. Andy Killman, owner, returned the call within 15 minutes and scheduled a time to come out just a few hours later. He diagnosed the problem, explaining why he came to that conclusion. Because the coil was encased in ice, he left for a few hours until it thawed out so he could make the repairs. He returned with the new part, installed it, and checked all the systems to make sure they were operating within their normal ranges.
Andy was very personable and professional from the minute he introduced himself to the end of the service call when he thanked me. I was in the HVAC industry for a number of years in the area of sales, so I asked him a lot of questions about things that my customers used to tell me. He patiently answered my questions and left me much more knowledgeable about my packaged heat pump. I am impressed that his is a successful small family business, and that it also employs a former heroic Navy Seal. If you talk with Andy, ask him to tell you that story.

Technicians arrived on time. Explained the work they were going to perform on both inside and outside unit. After around thirty minutes. Technicians informed me that I had a leak in the coil in the upstairs air handler unit. I expected there to be issues as the system was not functioning properly. Technician explained that he could replace the coils but he recommended to replace the entire unit along with the outside compressor. Reasoning behind this was the unit was to small for the actual house. 6 year old home 2 story, 2450 square foot home. The builder installed a 3 ton unit and I have had issues since buying the house. I advised technician that I would have to think it over and asked his recommendations on what unit to install. He advised to go with a 4 ton unit but it would also have issues in cooling the upstairs. The system should have been a separate heat pump and air handler to run the upstairs. Builder had argued this was not necessary.
Technician was very courteous and professional. I called Killman Heating and Air back the nest day and scheduled a visit to see what could be done to zone the system.
I was informed that in order to properly zone my 2 story house, the ducts would need to be repotted in order to have one supply feed the downstairs and the other feed the upstairs.
The total price quoted was 10000USD. This covered initially a 13 SEER 4 ton unit. I asked about installing a 15 SEER unit and the was told they would install 15 SEER unit for the same price.
I advised tech that I would get some additional quotes and would be back in touch.

Very professional and courteous. Explained what he did to the units and where there was some insulation lacking in my attic after I thought that the heating and cooling unit was not working.
