They do very good work but their price is a little bit high. I could have gotten a better deal by several people but I used them and thought I was getting as good a deal as I could get, that wasn't true but they do good work. If they had matched somebody else's price after they installed it I'd have been happy but they just gave me a $50 rebate on a $350 service charge.Actually it was a $400 service charge. They price was high. Quality was very good. I would use them again but I would talk them down in price again. They give you the first time service real cheap and then negotiate with you and then after that it's full price and here we go. When you are regular customer you ought to get a special price or at least match the price. Lowe's would have installed those commodes for $109 a piece; I paid$175 a piece to get them installed. He said that one of the commodes areas  had a leak in one of the lines and he said that Lowe"s would not have touched it if you had a leak on the line. That was a leak coming out the end of the pipe which any kind of plumbers putty would have stopped that tiny bit of a leak. That is what they said, that was just on one of the two commodes. What would have been totally fair is to give me a full match of $109 on the other commode since there was no leak at all there but they just gave me a $50 credit for the service trip. I should have shopped around some more, that may be their standard price. They have done work for me before and gave me a pretty good price so I just didn't question the prices.

Overall I was pleased with the work. However in the end I was disappointed that the owner didn't follow through with his commitment to replace some pumps that he installed in error. As a result I no longer feel I can trust him. I definitely would not recommend him to a friend

Brett was on time, professional, and got right to work. He came on a Saturday and had to jackhammer the slab to access the leak. Brett was able to repair it (although it was difficult to reach) and afterward closed the opening with new cement. The repair looks good and the price was extremely reasonable. When I mentioned how cheap it was for time & half, Brett said that Cottrell does not charge extra for nights and weekends. OMG.....who ever heard of such a thing where plumbers are concerned !!! We have been bouncing around from plumber to plumber for many years, but not anymore. Cottrell is IT from now on. Finally, a plumbing company with integrity !

They responded the next day. Nick came by to troubleshoot our situation, but wanted to do some research to confirm his assessment. The following day he performed the fix. Now our water heater is working like it's supposed to.

Exceptional work!

We had our old heat pump replaced when it stopped working. The technician came out and determined it was struck by lightning. He installed a Heil 2 ton 15 seer split heat pump and a Honeywell 6000 thermostat. Everything was done well and professionally. It was done promptly. the only quibble I had was that it was not mentioned that our home insurance might cover the cost, which it turned out it did. We discovered this by pure luck (by reading reviews re heat pump replacement on Angie's List, as a matter of fact.) When we put in a claim, it was mentioned that we should keep the relevant parts to prove the cause of the heat pump breakdown. He had already disposed of them and seemed befuddled when we told him that the insurance company might cover the replacement and that we might need the parts. He did retrieve them and no harm, but it did cause a moment of panic on our part. A little training that slipped through the cracks: Because honestly, we probably would have gotten the top level heat pump, had we but known.

Overall, it went well. We had a third incident, but thanks to their instruction my husband was able to take care of it himself. We have a severe root problem which hopefully will be ameliorated by Root-X we bought on line, without having to go for a multi-thousand dollar pipe replacement. Fingers Crossed. We have used Cottrell for years and have recommended them many times to numerous family and friends. On this visit, we feel they went over and above for us.

The cost of freon was higher than expected, but overall was very pleased with outcome.

Grea! I have used Cottrell many times at both of my residences, and I always refer them for their professional services. They have always come out as soon as possible, which is usually the same day. The office staff, as well as, the plumbers are polite and helpful. Of course, I would love it if they were less expensive, but you get what you pay for and it is A+ service. They usually have good coupons which help with the bill. Highly recommended.

Josh called us first to let us know when he would arrive; he quickly and professionally removed our old garbage disposal and installed a new Badger5 unit. We are very pleased with Cottrell's professionalism and service!

The assessment of my issue was well done and Johnny provided a couple courses of action to resolve the problem as it is not plumbing, it is installation of the enclosure. Going forward, for any plumbing issue I will use this company; professional, honest and willing to detail the problem.

I could not be more pleased. Professional service personnel - great skills and personalities. They arrived early (after calling to make sure that was ok). Very efficient while working, great w/suggestions, cleaned up completely before leaving. I would (and will) definitely use again.

The Cottrell plumber arrived a little early, but called in advance to make sure that was okay. He cleaned out my drain very quickly, and left my bathroom exactly as he found it otherwise. In short, he did exactly what was needed. This is the kind of work I have come to expect from Cottrell & Co. They are the only plumbing service I will call.

We love him. We trust him. No complaints what so ever.
