"Hello. As the CEO of Power Home Technologies I always appreciate honest feedback from Angie's List members. However when someone post an unfavorable review like you did I always like to state the facts so other potential customers can see that we run a great business and always try to go above and beyond to all customers. Here are the facts: 1. We installed your system on July 13, 2011. You choose our Enhanced Security Package which included a lot more than just the basic security offering. You paid $54.99 per month for that package and signed a 60 month monitoring agreement. 2. On July 14, 2011 we called you on a recorded line and did our Quality Assurance Questionnaire where we ask 10 questions including the confirmation of your monitoring rate and term of the agreement you signed. We also ask that you give us a rating of 1-10 of the level of service we provided to you with 1 being the worst and 10 being the best. You gave us a 10! 3. We did not hear from you at all until July 21, 2014 when you called to tell us you were moving. We gave you the following options on a recorded call: Customer was given several options – transfer of service, new owner takeover, system move with a 12 month extension or the last option was a payoff of the remaining 24 months. Customer inquired about placing the account on hold until he moves into the new home, agent offered up to 3 month downtime credit. Customer asked if he could think about it and call back. Agent gave customer his direct e-mail address so that he could call the customer back when the customer was ready. Customer agreed and said he feels stuck either way he looks at it. 4. You didn't call us again until 10/30/14. Customer advised he already moved but doesn’t have the new home yet, he will probably have the house in December. Agent gave customer move options with a 15 month extension, customer declined. Customer was unhappy with extension and declined, he said that’s not what he was told when the lady came to his house and did his original install. Customer declined offer and requested a bill with payoff amount. He said he wants to pay off this account and pay a new company for a system he likes. Agent inquired about what kind of system he liked, customer said he wasn’t impressed with the system or service he’s received so far and doesn’t like to be locked in, wants a new company. Agent agreed to send payoff. To recap you were perfectly satisfied with our system until it was time for you to move. We tried working with you with many different options and you declined them all because you already went with another provider. We provided great service to you so hopefully other members who read this post can see where we tried to go above and beyond for you. -Ben Brookhart, CEO"

The technician arrived on time. The expertise of the tech was evident from the time he walked in the door. We were provided with a level of professional service that put comfort in knowing our home would be secure. The tech went through every detail of explaining what he was doing and how it all worked. He was also very detailed in showing how to connect the wireless cameras to my home network. After the installation was complete we felt very confident in how to work and utilize our new system.

I got scheduled for installation within 3 days and Billy the lead technician was a pro. He explained everything thoroughly and has been doing this for over 19 years. Installation was quick and easy. Also, the equipment and enrollment process was pretty impressive tech-wise.
I'm looking forward to the peace of mind of having the system and the overall experience so far has been excellent. I definitely recommend Power Home Technologies due to the professionalism, local feel and technology and support behind their equipment (Monotronix - 5 star rating).
