After contacting Ductz about a malfunctioning dryer vent fan issue, they proposed a two- step solution. Since the vent fan appeared to be defective they recommended we contact an electrician to see if it was shorted out or whether a blockage in the dryer vent was preventing it from kicking on due to reduced air flow. If the fan was fine they would be happy to come out and clean out the dryer vent.
The electrician came out and verified that the fan was functional and Ductz came out the next day to clean out the dryer vent. After their initial cleaning attempt my wife and I still found reduced air flow in the vent and the fan would still not come on when we turned on the dryer.
Ductz came out a second time, and finally found the source of the blockage and cleaned it out really well.
We replaced the dry-rotted tubing that connects the fan to the vent at the cost of 48cents and all is well.
Thanks to Ductz for their prompt response. While they may be more expensive than some of the other outfits out there, they responded within 24 hours. Some of the other places we called had a literal 2 week wait, unacceptable when you can?t do laundry and there is a possibility of a lint fire taking place. Thanks to Ductz for being responsive and getting the job done right!
"Interesting review, especially 6 months after the fact. I, the owner, was apparently the impersonal lead guy discussed. Not sure what more I could have done in addition to; the actual work prescribed for, explaining in detail the use of the LintAlert Safety monitor installed on his dryer vent, the possible hazardous indoor air quality conditions we found in both of his air conditioning systems and the solutions to fix them, and the long-term moisture issues he was experiencing in some areas of his house which I furnished contact information for other reputable contractors to contact about because it was outside my expertise. As for the "D" in responsiveness, not sure how to address that one. Performed the work the day and time requested, and as mentioned above, tried to help with other problems outside my scope."
Mr. Unsinger is retired military. I mentioned this fact because of his excellent work, and my belief that military veteran owned businesses deserved to be patronized.
"I always appreciate feedback on work performed. First, it means something when a customer takes the time to provide it and more importantly, validation of work performedbuilds confidence for my company and others. Thank you."
