Overall the sectional was very well made and I am very confident the sectional will hold up and last me a lifetime. Plus I was assured that it also came with a lifetime warranty on the workmanship. The timeframe it took to complete the sectional was what I expected in creating a custom piece and their customer service was exceptional throughout the process. Would definitely recommend them to others and most certainly plan on using them in the very near future.

Powell's picked up the sofa the end of June. They delivered it on August 19. The slipcover had a number of fitting and stitching problems. The junior Mr. Powell agreed that there were problems and took the slipcover with him to be redone. Powell delivery representatives delivered and fitted the redone slipcover. There were even more problems with the redo. The senior Mr. Powell and his son came to my home to inspect the slipcover. They agreed that it was badly done and needed to be redone. They took the sofa and the slipcover with them. I finally got an acceptable slipcover about two weeks later. It was an awful experience. My designer made innumerable phone calls and even visited Powell's to try to rectify the situation. Office staff even blamed me for being too particular--this is while the Powell's agreed that the work was substandard. Powell's used to have a good reputation in this area. Obviously their work has gone downhill and their customer service is practically nonexistent. I did get a discount on the price--half of what my designer felt was appropriate.

Powell's provided an exceptional re-upholstering of our coffee table / ottoman. Details included buttons, brass tacks and leather upholstery.
They fulfilled their promise to have the ottoman finished in two weeks.
They were on-time, very cooperative and helpful; the estimate was provided and they kept to the estimate - no surprises.
We were extremely pleased with the finished product - time, cost, and quality.
We would certainly use their services again and would recommend them to anyone.

Was informed upfront that all orders were a bit delayed due to all the bad weather - business had been closed several days and deliveries were backed up. Brought items in on Feb. 26th and finally called at the beginning of April to inquire about my order. Found out the dining room chairs were done but not the wing back chair. Picked up the dining room chairs and Powell did acknowledge that the wing back chair should not have taken so long - it was finished 4 days later. Overall good job but wish the entire order could have been completed a bit faster.

Everyone at Powell's was great! I called twice to ask Amber questions and she was knowledgeable and helpful regarding what materials and options were available and appropriate. The price quoted to refill the cushions was reasonable so we decided to have them all done. Upon arriving at their shop, I asked Amber and another employee (or owner?) their opinion of the condition of our cushions. They actually said that the seat cushions were in good shape. In fact, they advised against having them refilled as they didn't consider I would see much benefit. That and quot;non-saleand quot; saved us several hundred dollars. Dollars that we were prepared to invest today. Rarely do I see businesses who value every customer to this degree. After some discussion we were convinced that the best approach would be to refill only the backs at this time and that, in fact, we could purchase the materials and do the work ourselves if we chose to. In our case, it was quite easy----just a matter of unzipping each cushion and stuffing more dacron in.

They are awesome. They did a beautiful job. I am totally pleased with them. I think it is important that they will work with you, you can bring your own fabric, but they do have large number of selections that you can go by and no job is too small and no job is too large. They are very friendly, informative, and knowledgeable and were anxious to work with you to make you happy.

THE PATTERN I CHOSE WAS A STRIPE, SO I KNEW IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT. THE CHAIR WAS COMPLETED WITHIN TWO WEEKS, IT TURNED OUT BEAUTIFUL. THE PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE. THE STAFF COULDN'T HAVE BEEN NICER.
