Demolish was fine, problems began slowly. First, they could no longer raise the kitchen ceiling as promised. Then it was that the stairs couldn't be opened up to the living room.Then it was the addition had have columns. All these things promised in our contract ''could no longer be done''. When the 2 partners of Alpha&Omega started bad mouthing each other, we got scared the company was going to fold. We had already paid them most of the money, & when we indicated we would not pay anymore until completion, they took their tools and left & did not return. Later, the building inspector found that they had cut out all the headers in the doorways they were expanding, and cut through major electrical wires, & had used the wrong material when attaching the siding. The sheetrock was hung with scraps&pieces, put in with roofing nails & looked like a patchwork quilt. There isn't enough room to list all the problems. We were left with a lousy, incomplete job that no other contractor will touch.
