SINGLE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD WITH A CONTRACTOR!!!!!!!
Dan Caddell, owner Equipment Services, came to my home to assess my range.  He said he would order the needed part.  After one month and no follow-up, I called. Dan said that he had ordered the parts from Europe, hence the delay.... Come to find out, parts were never ordered and my home warranty had to order the parts (from the parts center in California).  Dan did not show on two scheduled appointments without a phone call; I had taken off of work to meet him, which he knew.  He said his transmission in his truck had broken and had to be replaced, understandable... He finally showed up three months after his initial visit to install the part and another part was needed - same situation, he said he ordered from overseas, part never came, my phone calls were not returned, home warranty had to again intervene.  Two more no shows to scheduled appointments, on one he used the same excuse with the same vehicle - Broken Transmission, Needed to be Replaced!!!!  He finally installed the broiler six months after initial visit!  But had damaged the stove knobs, preventing them from pushing in to turn.  He told me the springs had been broken during the repairs and showed me the part that were damaged/missing  He agreed to replace the knobs.  He SAID he ordered the knobs, but when they arrived he said that they were too expensive and he had returned them!  He then said he ordered them from another company, but later admitted that he had never actually re-ordered the knobs and changed his story, saying that the knobs had not damaged by him and, rather, over time, heat from the oven had damaged the knobs (which, according to other contractors is untrue - oven knobs are made to be heat resistant). This information took another two months to extract.
In a nutshell:
6 months to initial work completed
4 months to admit that he had not ordered replacement parts that he broke and that he wasn't going to make this repair
Approximately 60 phone calls from me during these 10 months, 10% of which he returned
3 lies about ordering parts that were never ordered
My home warranty company ultimately agreed to repair the damage done by their contractor.
Epilogue. Another contractor looked at the knobs, said they could not be "damaged by heat" and found that the springs in the knobs had been doubled in two knobs and removed from other knobs, "probably by putting the knobs back on different burners." Also found that a screw was missing from another knob, causing it to not turn correctly.
Equipment Services has been dropped as a contractor by my home warranty company.
Equipment Services did not have a license at the time he was working on my range.
