My cat had injured herself and appeared to be in pain. As it was getting worse toward the end of the day, I realized she needed to be looked at by a vet, hopefully that afternoon. Someone had recommended Friarsgate Animal Hospital, so I called them late in the day. Unfortunately, their office hours were ending, and they could not see me -- or rather, my cat -- until the following morning. At that time, I knew the cat was uncomfortable but managing reasonably on her own. The person at Friarsgate was wonderfully sympathetic, very kind, and offered an appointment for first thing the next morning. VERY nice and VERY accommodating. I was impressed.
Later that afternoon, my cat took a turn for the worse, Her injury was worse than had appeared, and she obviously was in serious pain. I found another vet (who had also been recommended to me), and who was open later. I called them and they were able to see me that evening.
The next morning I called Friarsgate Animal Hospital to cancel my appointment, thank them for their willingness to go out of their way to to give me a preferential appointment, and apologize for going elsewhere at the last minute. Their response? They could not have been more gracious. They were not in the least put out about the cancelled appointment, they wished the cat well, and they said that if I ever needed veterinary services in the future they would be happy to be of service. And they were so nice about it! Again, I was impressed. My sense was that they would treat all their patients with kindness and consideration and kindness and topnotch veterinary care. Did I mention kindness?

I always get a discount if I took my two pets. I think they treated me pet like they would treat their pet. We have been going to them for at least 7 years. They were pretty reasonable. They would call me home with the laboratory results. They were very easy to talk to. They were friendly and had a good sense of humor. They were really good with my pets. My pets were happy there.

They have been our vet hospital for years for our cats and dogs. They are great across the board. The staff is great. I thought I would have to put my cat down and they helped me out and helped to fix the problem. They were there for us.

This was the best experience we'd had dealing with a vet. The appointment was made quickly, our pet was seen on time. The doctor examined our pet carefully giving extra attention and extra explanation to our areas of concern. After the diagnosis and treatment plan was explained, we received written documentation that served as a reminder and simplified submitting our insurance claims. It was such an overall wonderful experience that we plan on having all of our pets treated there.

When we moved to SC, my little dog (and house) became infested with fleas even though I had treated her continually with Frontline. Desperate, I went to Dr. Mundell at Friarsgate Animal Clinic. Right away he was able to tell me that Frontline just doesn't work on some dogs and switched her to Advantage. The amazing part of the exam was that Muffin usually becomes so nervous and fearful at a vet's office that I have to wear a muzzle on her to prevent her from snapping. Dr. Mundell knew just how to handle her and for the first time, I did not have to use a muzzle. He was kind and reassuring and also helpful in suggestions on how to handle my house infestation. Needless to say, he has become our regular vet now.
