What an absolute pleasure our buying experience was with Ed. We bought a black Howard Baby Grand (with Pianomation3) from Ed and it has been one of the best purchases that we've made to date since moving to the Columbia area. From the very beginning, Ed made himself readily accessible to us and was nothing short of friendly and professional. In delivering and setting up the piano in our home, he treated the process like it was a set up for his very family. Thanks so much, Ed! John & Jackie

Ed is extremely professional and experienced and honest and responsive. I would highly recommend Ed for any of your piano needs. He is very knowledgeable with anything to do with pianos - tuning, repair, moving, storage, buying, selling. He is up front and has honest and up-front responses with best intentions for your piano and his customers.

Very very well. We found Mr. Turnage through Angie’s List. The piano had not been tuned for a long time (which I know is not good regarding the health of its strings). Ed was patient with it, and everything went well. I was thoroughly pleased, and I highly recommend him.

Ed was extremely professional and courteous.  It had been an embarrassingly long time since we had the piano tuned.  He tuned it and also talked me though another issue that can be fixed in the future.  I feel we are in good hands for keeping the piano in great shape from now on.

Response from Ed's Piano Service
"[Member Name Removed] had a very old upright piano that needed far more than just tuning. My service call charge at the time was $60. if no work is done. She took my recommendation and didn't waste money on attempting to tune a piano that isn't tunable. Thank you [Member Name Removed]. Please call me again if you obtain a modern piano."

My piano hadn't been tuned in years, so it needed a couple of tunings to get up to pitch. Ed came out in April for the first tuning and said he would call in 3-4 months for the next. Sure enough, I received a call from him about 4 months later. I can't say enough about Ed's professionalism and skill. The piano sounds wonderful, he is a master of his trade! He was very accommodating to my schedule and punctual. I will be calling Ed again for periodic maintenance of my piano. Would recommend him for any piano needs!

Ed arrived on time and after asking me a couple of questions about my piano, he went right to work to tune it. It took about an hour. Afterwards he recommended services to do at a future visit. Ed was professional in his demeanor and appearance. He knew what he was doing!

Ed Turnage, business owner and piano technician, answered his phone promptly when I called to ask about his services, scheduled an appointment for the next day, and arrived right on time. He performed his services with expertise and discussed with us how he tuned and improved the piano sound. He was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Our piano sounds great! I felt that we got excellent service for the fee and we will recommend him to others and use his services again ourselves.

Ed is always courteous and honest. He is on time, too. He is honest and clear when he tells you what needs to be done and how he's going to accomplish that. He knows his stuff. Despite some poor communication on my part, he still provided excellent service. You can tell that he is doing something he enjoys.

Four years ago, Ed helped us locate a pre-owned piano. We found him through adoptababygrand.com. Ed's primary business is service and tuning of pianos. Through his network of satisfied customers, he can match pianos for sale with a person who is looking for a pre-owned piano. Once he locates the piano, he sends you many pictures of the piano. If you are interested in buying the piano, Ed will deliver the piano to your home and allow you to play it for up to a month and decide if the piano is truly the one for you! If you don't like it, he will return and remove the piano from your home at no charge. Sounds too good to be true? Everything Ed represented on the phone was spot on. He is a honest man that really knows pianos. Ever since we bought the piano from Ed, he has maintained and tuned our piano. Even though he is based out of Columbia, he has many clients in the Charlotte area, so the distance is not an issue. I would highly recommend Ed Turnage for service or finding a new piano.

Ed Turnage was recommended by a local piano mover (Jason's Piano Moving). I wanted an evaluation of the piano I had purchased from NY. Ed came and did a thorough inspection, pulled out the action, and gave me an honest opinion which was greatly appreciated. He made several adjustments to the action and pedals of the piano. I highly recommend him.
