First and fairly, Jeff and his crew are good painters. However, he does not follow up on problems, nor does he call back, nor does he meet "approximate" appointment times. He is polite. He says he will attempt to call and get out to fix the problem "early next week". That time never comes. The May phone call was not the first time he said he would be out. Last fall I called to see if he wanted to give me an estimate for additional work. He said he was definitely interested and would be over "early next week" and would call ahead. He called and made a Tuesday afternoon appointment, he never showed, nor did he return my call to him that day. I waited three weeks and called (leaving messages) several times before using another painting company from Angies List. The other company did an amazing job!
HOWEVER, IF YOU CAN'T BID A JOB, NOR TAKE ON NEW PROJECTS, JUST SAY SO. It is far more polite to allow people to find another painters than to keep them in limbo. I don't like to string contractors along, have them bid a job I know they won't get. I appreciate the same courtesy. Regardless of you workload, you should always repair work that is not done properly.
The latest call to Jeff Rosser arose from splitting in the ceiling at a dry wall seam. I asked him to come over and repair it. He said he would be happy to come over and take a look. It is the ONLY time I had called him to remediate his work. He had subcontracted the high ceilings to a drywall company. But the seam in the hallway, his brother had done. Jeff recommend we do the hallway at the same time. Well, its been three weeks and no call, no Jeff, nothing. I will pay to have the seam repaired by another company.
I am not sure why Rosser is listed as a drywall company, since on my job they subcontracted the majority of the job out to another drywall company-- who by the way, were mega flakey, didn't show up as promised and caused the job to be rushed at the end. However, the work they did has not had any problems.
I think Rosser Painting LLC is unreliable. I can't in good conscience recommend them, sorry.
The process began with a thorough pressure washing that removed all evidence of stains and mold. I teased Jeff, the owner, that the results were so remarkable that we did not need to go on to the paint job. Then his team sanded, scraped, repaired and primed the outside so it was ready for a final paint job. The team masked off all areas to prevent overspray. They applied a primer coat and then the final coat and the results were excellent. They removed all material and cleaned up the entire area so you would not even know there had been a full house repaint in the days before. They then came back and meticulously inspected their own work and made final touchups to areas that I would have never noticed - for instance: that back of the soffit to reduce exposure and the prospect of deterioration of raw wood.
I am really pleased with the professional approach and the initial results. I felt like these folks treated my home like I would have except they had the expertise and experience to make the results truly exceptional. I will not hesitate to use this company in the future.
