UNCLE WILLIE'S TREE SERVICE LLC

Willie did a great job on getting some gigantic pine trees out of my yard in Heathwood last year. The trees where huge and were dropping tree-sized limbs, posing a real risk to my house and my neighbors' houses. I am a busy professional who does not have a lot of time to focus on add work, but Willie required only a few minutes of my time to describe the work to be done, and he took it from there. Willie was prompt, cost effective, and thorough in his cleanup. The trees were so large that the removal broke a pipe in the sprinkler system, but Willie had that taken care of that, too. I highly recommend Willie to anyone who asks me for a tree removal professional.

The service was good at cutting the trees down, however, they did not grind the stumps as promised and instead of clearing out the debris the wood was thrown up against the fence with no regard to cleaning it up.  The price was good, but the contract was not fulfilled professionally.

Overall I would not recommend them to other people needing their service.

They always do a fine job ( this is the second time we have used them). However, our front yard was damaged fairly bad and a sprinkler head broken due to them driving over our yard to get to the oak tree. Unfortunately, we didn't know this happened until after it had been done, and we wish he would have asked us before driving over our yard, which was wet from all of the rain we have had. My husband told Willie to deduct $30 so we could buy some sand to attempt to fill in all of the tire mark damage, which he did, but we just recently discovered the front sprinkler head was damaged as well. We have contacted them to ask them to replace the sprinkler head themselves or reimburse us what our landscaping service would charge for labor and material to replace the sprinkler head, and we are waiting for a reply. Willie is very personable, so we are hoping to get this taken care of very soon. The date of service below is approximate, as it was early October, but I can't remember the exact date. I also want to point out in all fairness that the reason I posted a "B" rating was due to the yard damage. Willie's work and pricing was just fine.

I had several trees that were growing too close to my house and/or were dying. I selected Uncle Willie's because of the reviews that were written on Angie's List. I was not disappointed. We had to reschedule the appointment because of weather and a personal issue, but the crew came when promised. In addition to the trees I needed removed, Willie suggested other trees that were going to cause problems for me and removed them at no extra charge. These were BIG trees. The cost was excellent. The crew cleaned up. This is a great business to work with.

The Challenge

• -Removal of over a dozen mature pine and gum trees that were in a neighboring yard but hovering toward my house.
• -Tree height varied but all were tall with some over 90 feet.
• -Location of trees were in a irregular, confined back yard surrounded by two homes, power lines, fences and a wall.

The Solution

• -The owner devised a solution that no one else either thought of, took the time do or were willing to do.
• -The team lifted the cut trees from one yard to another to chip and move out the debris.
• -The trees were cut in precise sections that landed appropriately to avoid any risks to the surrounding homes, fences, power lines, etc.
• -Not one bit of damage occurred in the tree yard and the tree cutter's judgment was excellent.

The Cleanup

• -Yard was left with much to cleanup, but the team got it done behind a solid effort.
• -Since there was much dirt and bare spots from the tree removal, the owner offered to throw in some grass seed for replenishment.
• -Ruts in the soil left by the heavy equipment were also addressed.

The Experience
-Uncle Willie was easy to work with, congenial, and professional.
-He and his crew showed up on time, worked hard and efficiently for all the days of the project.
-They offered creative solutions to a difficult situation for a very good value and they have pride in their work.

Uncle Willy is great-a real character but incredibly professional and knows his stuff. We requested to have several tree cut down and explained our long term goals for the yard. Willy was able to give us excellent advice and connect us with fantastic resources for the other work we needed done. His crew was always there when he said they would be and they worked efficiently, respectably, and cleaned up afterwards. The end result was more than I could have imagined and for a really good price. I highly recommend Uncle Willy and his professional services and advice regarding your trees and general yard projects! SOOOO Great !!!

Satisfactory. Cleaned up well

All trees had to be cut by hand and were located in the backyard where they were unable to get any equipment. Job took all day but the guys were really great and didn't leave until the job was finished at 7pm. They had to tote all of the limbs and tree sections to the truck on the street. I am very happy with the service I received. it took a little while to finalize a date for the services but that was minor. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone in need to tree services. Willie is very knowledgeable of trees and gives good advice on others in the yard. His crew was respectful of my property and cleaned up all trash and debris. A+ Service!
