"This customer admitted to both our technician and our owner that he had hired a home remodeling contractor that cut the condensate drain lines between the subfloors of his house. The water leak occurred at this very location before he had informed us of the problem. As a little background information, the original installation was done for the previous homeowner back in 2010, where there was not a single water problem for over 4 years (until this incident). He was told to contact the people responsible for actually cutting his drain line, but he said this other company had failed to respond back. We truly empathize with his circumstances but it was not our company's fault and hence, we could not be held responsible for what the others had done."
1] Phone inquiry was handled by a real person, promptly
2] Technician was to call back within an hour, the call came in about 30 minutes.
3] He arrived within the time frame he specified, 1 hour.
4] Glenn Butler, the technician, quickly diagnosed the problem, told me what the solution was, and told me how much it would cost.
Ever talk to "a professional" who didn't know his stuff? Tried to fake his way thru? Well, Glenn is the real deal. Not only did he know what he was talking about, he was able to answer other questions on HVAC I had, intelligently and professionally. He provided a tempory fix which was much appreciated. Glenn is the kind of person you expect to show up when you have a problem, unfortunately that's only true in about 50% of the cases, in my experience.
5] A 2nd call was warranted, the part we needed wasn't readily available. That situation was handled just as professionally.
6] An annual contract is available for less than $200. A steal from where I'm coming from
EAC is what I call a 5 star company for the reasons I listed above.
