We had an extremely positive experience with Alliance Roofing from start to finish.
Our 17 year old roof had developed it's second leak in a year, and there was evidence that the previous owner had roof problems as well. We decided that it was time for a new roof.
Everything went perfectly from start to finish. We contacted the owner of Alliance, Paul Bailey, and he came out that same day. He advised us that the roof was showing beginning signs of brittleness. He cleared debris from a skylight which was thought to be contributing to the leak. We told him we wanted a high quality roof and asked for an estimate.
Our estimate was ready the very next day. Paul used a satellite imaging company to get a diagram of our roof. In this way he could accurately determine the amount of materials that would be required for the job. He provided a copy of the satellite report which we very much appreciated. He brought samples of various shingles from two well known manufacturers and talked about the features each roofing system had to offer.. There was absolutely no hard sell, He was simply giving us the information and advice we needed to make the right decision for ourselves.
We were committed to getting the best roofing system we could afford because of the wind, driving rain, and blazing sun we have in this area. We chose an option that included upgraded materials and a 50 year transferrable warranty. The shingles have additional resistance to mold and mildew, which is a huge issue on roofs in this region.
The price was lower than we expected as our house has a big footprint and a very complex roof. And we got a lot of value for our money.
Paul accommodated our schedule for an installation date. While we were waiting a severe storm caused our leak to reappear. Paul sent someone right out to fix the leak which held. He offered to expedite our new roof installation, and we rearranged our schedules to take him up on his offer.
Everything went perfectly. His crews worked very hard and it was clear they were working as a team. They used tarps to control the substantial amount of debris that was generated. They protected our swimming pool, exposed windows, and garage door with tarps and plywood as appropriate. The work site was left neat and clean at end of each day. They covered the roof decking in the face of an impending storm as well every night. From an aesthetic point of view, the roof is beautiful with clean lines. It is clear this was a first rate professional job. They rebuilt our skylights which look brand new.
Paul was always available to us by phone or text, even after business hours. I contacted him several times with questions and worries and he always responded quickly. You don't usually get that from other business owners after you sign the contract. He had come out to the job site several times which I found reassuring. Bill, the job supervisor, came out several times each day and he was very nice and followed up on all my questions and requests. There was a lead roofer on site at all times. There was plenty of supervision and teamwork on this job.
