The sinks were not installed according to manufacturer instructions. In place of the manufacturer hardware and instructions that were provided, Oldcastle broke up chunks of Corian and used an epoxy adhesive to glue the sink in place. The manufacturer instructions clearly state that the provided hardware should be used and that adhesives are not to be used. Only a silicon sealant is proper between the rim of the sink and the granite surface. Oldcastle was informed on the same day as installation that the service provided was unacceptable and that a fix of the problem was necessary. Their response was that they losely hung the manufacturer's hardware where it might fit between chunks of Corian and gobs of epoxy. The hardware can not be tightened due to the original install and even though we asked for the sinks to be removed and installed correctly, that was not done. The problem gets worse - Oldcastle likens this to a plumber using a flexible or fixed line in installation. A manufacturer can recommend one or other but if they specifically state not to use a specific method, you would think it would be in the best interest of the customer and installer to follow manufacturer instructions, or at least that is what I thought. In order to have the sinks installed properly, the granite tops should be removed so that the broken pieces of Corian and epoxy can be chiseled off which in turn can damage the granite. The only warranty protection I have is to demonstrate that the granite and/or sinks were damaged to begin with. I can't tell if anything is damaged, due to the chunks of Corian and gobs of epoxy creating a giant mess. If the sinks were intalled correctly to begin with, replacement could easily be completed at anytime in the life of the vanity. I am happy to provide pictures of the mess that is my vanities installation to anyone who asks.

We gave up after 45 days and hired Calista Stone Cutters, 912-234-3877, I would give them an A grade.
