Explained that I wanted a different all over color, balayage and a new cut. Even showed pictures of cuts that I liked. Well I have a new base color but much to surprise I got foil highlights. The color looks good. I had let my hair grown out until I found something that I liked.....guess what i got the same cut that I came in with just a little shorter. She did not listen to my concerns or wishes. Never asked how I like the cut.....well she really did give me a new cut. Never offered advise about styling products. When I left my hair cut looked so bad...no real style. When you leave a salon you should leave feeling beautiful....I did not. I style my hair better. Not sure if I will return. It is so hard to find a great hairdresser in Greenville. Don't believe the "A" rating. Really not more the a step up from supercuts just higher prices.

I'm very picky about my hair and have never colored it. I came in for a haircut with Trisha and after noticing her hair we started talking about Balayage. For the first time in my life....I decided to try it out because I wanted to lighten up my hair around my face. We decided on a spotlight so it wouldn't be drastic. Aftermath.....I LOVE it...it looks natural and I can just grow it out if I don't want to maintain it. My haircut was exactly what I asked her to do. She is very talented & sweet and my favorite part about her....she walks you through every step she is about to do. She's also very honest about your requests.... I.e if they'll work with your hair type and give you suggestions if they don't. Great experience overall!

I decided to make an appointment at Shear Thairapy based on the great reviews on Angie's List. It was a wonderful experience! My appointment was with Mark - who is truly amazing. I couldn't decided if I wanted a new style, so Mark gave me excellent suggestions. I changed my mind several times during the appointment, but it didn't seem to phase him. He worked with me until I was happy. I'm not just happy - I'm ecstatic! Total strangers have approached me to tell me how much they like my hairstyle and have asked who my stylist is. I'm very happy to share my experience at Shear Thairapy with them. I am now a regular appointment on Mark's calendar.

Brandy called me at home way after the shop had closed. I'd signed up for a haircut using their website. Brandy wanted to make sure she got me set up for a cut. I was very impressed with her concern. When I arrived at the shop, she was there waiting for me. She took time to talk with me and find out what type of cut and service i was looking for. Brandy not only gave me a good haircut, but also "educated" me on what she was doing as well as products that I could use in styling. She was not "hard selling" me products which I really liked. My cut was good and I'm able to manage it well at home which is always a test for me of a good stylist. Brandy was pleasant and easy to talk to. I didn't feel like I was in a "snobby" salon. She also followed up with a thank you note delivered to my house a couple days later! Never had that before from a stylist. This was a good find for me!! While the price was a bit more than I usually pay back in Pgh, it was fair and reasonable.

I've had a very hard time finding the right hair stylist ever since moving here 2 years ago. I think I finally found my person! Kristy was very professional, listened to what I wanted and delivered. I've gotten so many compliments and am looking forward to going back. I even received a hand written thank you card in the mail!

Mark does the BEST Aguava straightening treatment on hair. No harsh chemicals or damage to the hair. Love, love, love the results. The first time was Aug of 2012. Results lasted for several months. He and his wife, Brandy, are down to earth, hard working, personable Christian couple. Try them! Your hair will thank-you.

Mark and Brandy are a neat couple and recently purchased this salon. They're doing great things there and for me specifically, I went in for a trim and asked about coloring. I'm a redhead, but my hair has been turning brown as I get older. I've seen women with purple-ish 'red' hair, with bright red flat looking hair, and I wanted to be more subtle than this. I was looking for a natural, bright red and that's exactly what I got with Mark. He fit in my treatment that day, did the coloring and recorded the 'recipe' for next time. I love it and was evidently nervous for no reason... I recently tried box hair coloring (probably 3 months worth) and found that my hair was becoming thinner and just generally unhealthy. After doing research on the difference between box color and salon color, I'll never go back. My hair looks and feels great! I highly recommend this salon.
