Kia of Greer

The suspension missalignment was successfully completed. The powertrain warranty was, and still has not been completed. When I first brought the car in with the standard transmission,s 3 rd gear grinding. I was told that a base Kia Rio powertrain covered the engine and the transmission but did not cover the manual clutch in between, and was uncomfortably forced to sign for an about $150 Kia protocals examination to find out which part was defective. I was told that the transmission was the problem and that I needed to spend an additional $1,200 to replace the clutch pressure plate. When I found out the mechanic had not even driven the car, I told the service manager that if I and the kia mechanic would just go for a test drive it would be clear that the 3rd gear and only the 3rd gear would grind thru the 5 gear speed range. The mechanic got back after actually driving the car and reviewing with the kia protocals department that it in fact was either the transmission's 3rd gear or the transmission's synchronization that was defective. Next, Kia of Greer asked me to venture over $800 for an additional check to do an internal failure analysis on the clutch and transmission, which I refused after finding they had no metalurgists or test equipment on hand. I am still on 4 of 5 gears.

I called the sales manager and when he said that there were 9 base Kia's on the lot. When I arrived at Kia of greer, an hour later, a salesman said that were out of the $10,000 kia of greer Rio's. I told him to check. with the sales manager because he knew where the were. The salesman came back and said that they had one, but I was better off with a 1 year old Rio with more features and over 60,000 miles. To cut a 3 hour negotiation short I bought a $13507 base Kia that had 4 features I really did not want; extra insurance for 1 year, a two year extended paint warranty on top of their standard 3 year warranty, and a 40,000 mile extension to their standard 60,000 mile power train warranty and a $455 for tire road hazard insurance.

was told repair would take an hour. Asked to schedule time when I could get in and out in an hour. Was told to be there at 10am on a day, arrived right on time. Did not leave until noon, two hours later.

It turned really good.

I last came here for my oil change and to replace a bearing. They are always prompt and available, and very professionally run. They do good work here and I have never had any problems with their work quality. I am sure I'll be seeing them again in the future.
