I have a 17 year old Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have been using John's which is almost in front of the dealership from which I bought the Jeep, since he opened.  November, 2015 I noticed fluid under my car and the smell of a hot radiator. I opened the hood of my car and you could see radiator fluid on the frame under the radiator. I took it to John's and every service stall was full. I went inside the office, which is always clean, and told John my problem. He immediately got up and said, "Let's take a look".  He opened the hood and I had already started asking him about the price of replacing the radiator.  He called to one of his servicemen to bring him a pair of pliers. He loosened the upper radiator hose clamp, pulled the hose tight against the radiator and tightened the clamp.  After doing that he checked all the fluid levels, put in a gallon of coolant into the radiator reservoir, and added about a half a quart of oil to the engine. I asked him how much I owed him.  He said, "$5.00". The price of the coolant alone was more than that.  He said that the gallon bottle had been opened and he did not know how much he put in and the oil was part of his servicing the car earlier in the year.  This might not sound like much, but John's has replaced my brake cylinder, the notorious rear end of the Jeep, and done the normal maintenance on the car since early 2012.  He has always been more than fair with his prices, and time it took to do a repair.  The radiator "leak" was solved just by tightening a hose. Other places would have kept the car, charged a fee just for looking at it and could have easily told me the radiator needed to be replaced.  John's does excellent work at a great price...but the radiator "leak" showed me what I already thought, he is an honest man. Highly recommended

This repair went well. However at this writing, I have just had to replace the whole thing again almost exactly 2 years later with fewer than 30k miles on the vehicle to the tune of an additional $1695.00 somewhere else (our son is using this vehicle while away at college). Not happy. When I addressed this issue at the shop, the immediate reply was to question how the vehicle was being driven. He did mention that perhaps there was a warranty on the parts, but those parts he used in 2011 are now in a dealership's junk heap in another city and I'll not be going to the expense of trying to retrieve them.
In addition to this issue, we have since had another and quot;repairand quot; done at John's. They could never determine what was causing the service engine light on the dash to be lit. It would go out after the and quot;repairand quot;and come back on 2 weeks later. It never did get fixed after 2 visits and over $500. in payment.
Both these repairs at John's were on the same older vehicle. Won't be going back.
Interesting side note: When John's first opened, the sign read and quot;Honest John'sand quot;. It doesn't anymore. 'nuff said.

I'd originally gone to the quick lube type of place across the street John's has/had an interest in--been going there for the last year or more and they were closed. I went across the street and spoke with John. He said he could do the same thing and get me in and out right away. A half hour later, I was driving home. Great people, professional and would recommend them to anyone.

It want very well. I provided them the part. I actually provided two sensor because I thought two were bad. They told me only one was bad. I ask if you would could replace the other one, and they told me you only replace them once they go bad. I thought that was honest. The repair took about an hour.

He does excellent work. Anytime I need him he tows my car if it breaks down and charges me almost nothing for bringing the car in.

I have used John's for oil changes for the past 2 years. I recently had them install new brakes and front struts on my Ford Crown Victoria. They have excellent mechanics who are careful about their work. I am an auto enthusiast and have an antique car so I know how to judge mechanics and their work.

John's is a trustworthy business and I would recommend them to my family members.
