Carolina Shower Door LLC

I called CSD and they sent two techs right out. It took them less than 5 minutes to readjust the door hinges and fix the problem. I am a mechanical guy, but I never knew about the hidden alignment screws inside the hinges -- but they did. Only took them 5 minutes, but my house is at least a 30 minute ride each way. The work was done at no charge -- you cant beat their customer service. I recommend with no reservations.

Installation of the shower door was very professional and flawless. Owner Rafael seems to have an attitude though, and can be condescending.

Contacted Gabriel for two simple bathroom remodels. They sub contract to C&A construction with Carlos. Total incompetence throughout project. Tile was not laid correctly and waterproofing incorrect. Had to tear up and start again causing mess everywhere. Found contractors sleeping on furniture in dirty clothes who turn up when they feel like it. Two months to do a small 10ftx10ft guest bath and still not complete, second master bath not even started, no sign of Carlos. Seeking now legal advise, stay well away!

They do not stand behind their products. We had a leak and when our insurance company came out they said it was due to poor sealing of the glass door. We contacted Carolina Shower and said there would be a $100 service call fee and then charge for a repair that should not have been needed, if done correctly. When Carolina Shower were installing it, Gabriel, I believe, was watching another man do the work. I asked why and he said he was teaching him, but that since he was there he would make sure he did a good job. Everything was spoken in Spanish so I did not know what was being instructed. We are now hiring someone else to do a job that Carolina Shower should have done. We are very disappointed in Carolina Shower.

We did have an issue with the glass door (it didn't seem to be a custom fit).  We paid for a custom fit.  We complained and a new custom door was installed.

The representative who provided an estimate on Jan 30, 2014 was very responsive and efficient.  After about two weeks, I called the company to inquire about the status of the work and was advised the work would have to be rescheduded.  I had never been informed it was scheduled.  The work was performed professionally at the time and date as rescheduled.  Potential clients should be advised the company requires payment in cash or by check.  A 3% surcharge is added if paying by credit card.

Initial visit was punctual and efficient, only took 10 minutes to measure it up. Installation was held up due to the great snowfall of January '14, but they rescheduled me in the next week. During installation they hit a water line while drilling for the door hinges. This was fixed up professionally on the same day. Have been using the shower for a week now and it is great.

Great job.  contractor punctual, professional and very hard workers. They know what they are doing.  They also took very good care of our home during the project and cleaned up every day before they left.

Overall the experience was good.  The door looks great and seems to function well.  I had a few leaks around the clips and they came out right away to seal them.  The only problems I had were that we were told that we could have the door installed by a certain date and after the contract was actually done it was 3 days longer than what we had talked about.  Also we ask that all people that enter our house remove their shoes because we have a daughter with an autoimmune disorder who needs to stay as germ free as possible.  I was told that this was not possible when the glass was being carried but that it would not be a problem otherwise.  It seemed like the installers were good about this when they knew we were watching, but didn't care enough to remember when we weren't there to remind them as we saw them multiple times not removing their shoes as they came in and out of the house.

These guys were great! Punctual for estimates/ordering/install/repair. Very efficient, good communication. Worked with surgical precision - great teamwork and the doors fit perfectly in the opening, are parallel and even to each other, good (invisible) caulking. No water excapes. Good selection to choose from. Fast turn-around. They were very careful in my home. Had to have a hinge replace when another contractor's follow-up work required leaving door open at its widest 24 hours and loosened it - wonderful to work around my work schedule, replaced it, and out the door at no cost to me. Service with a smile!
