Our washer started making a loud screeching sound in September. ASI was sent by Maytag to service it. We were quoted an outrageous $747 for repairs. Maytag agreed to cover parts, if I paid over $200 in labor. Tech came out a month later and changed every part except the two that are covered under warranty. Washer still didn’t work. It was the drive motor, which has a 10 yr warranty. It is now January 5th, and they have still not returned. I’ve spent over 12 hrs on hold. Do not use ASI if you are not required by warranty to do so. Incompetent technician and zero customer service.

Dishwasher part that was repaired in June 2020 broke again later. We were originally told “everything is covered under a 1 year warranty”. NOT TRUE. Only the original part replaced is covered, you still must pay for labor and their $110 trip/diagnostic fee, despite the original part that they replaced broke again, well within the 1 year warranty window. Call Mr. Appliance off of Woodruff Rd instead, they actually guarantee in writing all parts/ AND Labor are guaranteed for 1 year, and they waive their trip/diagnostic fee, unlike ASI. Allie from ASI was rude/condescending on the phone, wouldn’t hardly let me speak.

This company was hired through American Home Shield to repair our dryer and ice maker. They came out to repair the dryer. I mistakenly did not test the dryer before they left. We tried to dry a load of laundry but the dryer stopped, showing a code of F22. I immediately called them back in hopes that they would come back and rectify the issue. We had never seen this code before. I told her what was going on with the dryer and she promptly told me that she was not coming back that day because she had a customer that was an hour away. My husband, son and son in law began to look at the dryer and found the manual. Did some research online and remedied the mess they left behind. I honestly question their expertise after seeing the workmanship. They originally diagnosed the problem with the dryer determining that it needed a new heater. I do hope the heater was installed correctly. They failed to put the dryer back together properly which is the reason for the F22 code. The top of my Maytag dryer was loose which caused the door to fail to close properly. They (my husband and sons) discovered that two wires were left dangling inside the dryer where they should have been plugged in inside the dryer. There was a bar bent inside the dryer that had to be bent back into proper position. The placement of the top of the dryer had to be inserted in tabs to fit snuggly. The technicians had failed to do this. This job was truly shameful. It literally looked like something that I would have done had I tried to go and repair the dryer because I do not know what I am doing! Fortunately my husband and sons were able to put the dryer back together and we are able to use it. So far the heater seems to be doing fine. The customer service this technician showed was at the bottom of the barrel. I called American Home Shield and cancelled this work order. I will not have them back out to fix the ice maker because I do not trust them. They may break the refrigerator and then not want to come back in a timely manner to repair it. I would use great caution in using this company. Hire another company! The cost of service was the American Home Shield service fee of $75.

ASI said they would order the part and that it would be here in a week.  That was 2 weeks ago.  They can't tell us when the part will come in and have not offered to expedite it.
ASI does not answer the phone when you call to follow up.  You are left on hold for 20+ minutes then their system disconnects the call because no one has answered the phone.

In looking at the invoice for this service, I was appalled at the price that this company charged my mother.  On the invoice it says "DW had loose screw.  Tightened screw" ....for the price of $44.50.   Seriously??  The service call was $133.50, and so, when you add everything up they charged her $150.00 for the microwave handle.   After looking at multiple sites where one can purchase microwave handles, there was not one that was even close to costing $150.50.  My mother is 88 years old, and I believe that this company took advantage of an elderly woman on a fixed income.  I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

James did a professional job after first giving us the cost to repair and letting us decide if we wanted to repair or look for a new washer.  He had the part on his truck and went right to work.  He cleaned up everything, and we are happy with his work.

Derek a repairman supervisor came out to do the work because their original repairman didn't show for my first appt. due to a miscommunication. Derek was very sweet and knew what he was doing. He also told me that my service actually was under warranty even for just a cleaning. Awesome! Overall I had a great experience and highly recommend Derek to do the work for you.

I did as the technician advised. I called KitchenAid who then referred me to an authorized parts and repair store in California. They did have the part. I called our technician to verify that this part was exactly what we needed, since it would be non-returnable. He verified that it was, said to order the part, and to call ASI to reschedule him to come install it when it arrived. I just called to reschedule. The appointment scheduler, after I told her the situation and asked to have the technician come back out, notified me that they could not install it. I told her that I had spoken with their technician and that he said under this circumstance they could install it but would not warranty it. She then put me on hold to speak with the supervisor. Per the supervisor, they will not come out and install the part since it was not ordered directly from the manufacturer - even though it was ordered from a place that KitchenAid directed me to and even though their employee told me in 2 different conversations that he could do it. No alternative solutions were offered to me. More importantly no apologies were given. Now lets hope I can find someone else to install this expensive part that I cannot return that an ASI technician told me to order.

The technician was knowledgeable and courteous. He took care not to damage the area where he did his work and cleaned up when finished. I expected the repair to be between 200 and 300 dollars and it came in at the high end of that range. I would use them to service my other appliances.

Just simply horrible. To be honest, I do not have 30 mins to give the complete story. But bottom line? Took FOUR trips over 30 days... First trip to quote and order parts. Second trip parts did not fix unit. Ordered more parts. Third trip these OTHER parts didn't fix either. Ordered MORE parts. Fourth trip is was fixed. Worse thing is they WANTED to charge me for the other parts....but I refused.
OBVIOUSLY, they were not qualified to be able to figure out why the burner wasn't lighting and just started with a and quot;hit and missand quot; routine like Abbott and Costello. After finally replacing almost everything, it worked. Problem? The last go round of parts was the ORIGINAL solution and the $285 could have just been a $185 repair, who knows.
The thing is this. Their attitude was like I was getting a bargain because I got all these other parts I DID NOT NEED for free and 4 trips for the price of one? What an IGNORANT mentality!!!! That was the veiw through the eyes of an owner....and NOT the customer. He lost money because HE GOOFED up, not me, so don't go trying to give ME a guilt trip about how many trips it took YOU to figure out what you should have from day 1....
HORRIBLE experience. Would NEVER use them again.
