SUPERIOR CARPET CLEANING

Felt overall they were not very professional. On the phone while doing the work, and did not have the tools needed to complete the job - had to borrow my hot glue gun and missed areas that they neeed to repair.

We used this company because they were available to do an installation within our very tight moving schedule. The scheduling did indeed allow us to move in on on time, but the quality and professionalism of the work was disappointing. There were several gaps in workmanship that required multiple followup service calls to correct. The installer failed to correct or even point out a distinctly uneven spot in the sub-floor in the middle of a high-traffic area. Correcting this required a separate service appointment, pulling back carpet and using some quick-dry cement to even out the flooring. This process could have been completed much more easily before the carpet was laid. The installer also did a clumsy job on the stairs, leaving carpet hanging loose under the bull nose of a couple of the steps. A 1.5in hole was left in the carpet next to one of the railing balusters. Finally, the installer made no attempt whatever to clean up. Every square foot of floor was covered with carpet strands from the cutting of the material. These strands were unsightly and were tracked to other floors of our home during the course of the job. To the installer's credit, the quality issues were ultimately corrected, but the lengthy process of poor craftsmanship and the necessity of several followup calls coupled with the lack of job cleanup was disappointing at best.

I called Superior Carpet Cleaning 2 weeks prior and scheduled a carpet cleaning for Oct. 26, at 10 AM. At 10:40 on the appointed day, the carpet cleaner had not arrived nor had they contacted me. I called them and asked where they were - received some excuses about it being a hectic morning, forgetting an invoice and coming back to get a clip board. Was told that their carpet cleaning person should arrive in about 15 minutes, which would make it at 11 AM. He arrived at 11:20 - which was 1 hour and 20 minutes later than our appointed time! He worked or the carpet which had a stain (our grandson spilled orange Gatorade). After he finished cleaning the carpet, the stain was much lighter, but still visible. I asked him to treat the stained area again; which he did. This second treatment helped - and the spot was barely visible. Just a Note: The next day the cleaning man called to ask he if had left his sprayer at our house. He had not, but apparently he had left it somewhere. This is the first time I had used this company.

Very happy with the work performed. Very conscientious and worked around other contractors who were on-site.

I had some big ripples and some damaged edges in the carpet of my home. I called Superior Carpet Cleaning because they were listed in the phone book as also doing repairs. (Angie's List has carpet installers listed for Greenville, but none of them did repairs or re-stretching.) The price was very reasonable and they were able to schedule the work within a few days. They showed up on time and went to work, stretching and repairing the cut pile carpet in my living room/dining room and the Berber carpet in my bonus room. (I had to look up the types of carpet to describe them!) Due to my schedule and theirs, they had to return the next day to finish the job. In order to be sure they finished on the second day, they brought along three servicemen to do it. They stretched and repaired the Berber carpet in my den and the cut pile carpet in three bedrooms, a bonus area and a large hallway. The guys from Superior were all nice and professional and the carpet is nice and tight to the floor again. They even offer a discount on carpet cleaning if you're also having them re-stretch your carpet, but since I'm having a lot more work done on the house I didn't want to clean the carpet just yet. All in all, a great service for a great price.
