One cabinet was so poorly executed that we ultimately threw it away. We asked them to make it right and they did not respond.
When we picked granite, Savage offered to "manage" the relationship with the granite company which we learned later meant giving themselves a nice mark-up for no services performed. Savage held us hostage for months trying to get more money from us. We were afraid they would take the money for the granite and not cover services similar to the way they had treated us with the cabinets. Finally they released the granite when we decided to order new granite from another supplier. This delayed our move-in date by months.
We have been in our house and using the cabinets for approximately 6 months. The quality of the cabinets are well below the cost. Their installation crew was sloppy, leaving multiple "test" wholes in all cabinets. The cabinet doors are warped. Some drawers were beyond correction in terms of being out of alignment. Where industry standard was to provide 3 shelves, they provided 2. They used multiple bad hinges on the cabinets which we have had to replace at our own cost. On one of our "soft close" drawers, they used components from two different manufacturers so that they are now completely stripped and the door barely opens and closes.
This is a local family run business which was initially a big selling point for us. However, this family seems to have dishonesty and poor customer service at its core. When we were considering using this company, we searched for them on Angie's list and saw two reviews. One was someone who got a quote but not services, and the other was someone who is a friend of the family. Both gave the company a good rating, which gave us comfort as we selected vendors for our renovation. I would highly discourage anyone from using this company after our experience.
