The aerator in my kitchen sink kept clogging with sediment, restricting (and eventually completely cutting off) water flow. Replacing the aerator worked for about three days, then the new aerator clogged just as badly. I also noticed that the hot water shutoff valve under the sink was leaking water that was a thick, inky black in color. That prompted the call to Russell Plumbing.
Wayne and his assistant came out pretty quickly (I told them no rush as I had another sink nearby) and confirmed that I had a bad hot water shutoff valve. A gasket inside the valve was deteriorating, and bits of this gasket were the cause of the clogged aerator (and, as it turns out, the clogged hot water side of the shutoff valve in the faucet handle). I asked them to replace all of the shutoff valves and the faucet. I emphasized that I wanted the new faucet to closely match the existing faucet.
Wayne did take some time getting the new parts, but there's a great reason for that--he went the extra mile to make sure that the faucet met two criteria:
1. It matched the existing faucet per my instructions.
2. It was a high-quality faucet with all-metal parts instead of the plastic parts you get from the cheaper, big-box store faucets.
Once he had the parts, Wayne and his assistant (I say assistant, but he was also very knowledgable and needed little to no instruction--he knew what he was doing) showed up to install it. There's really not much to tell you about that except they did an EXCELLENT job. The new faucet is much better than the old faucet, and everything matches now (they did not before). The end result is a repair that not only brought the faucet back to its original state, but actually made it MUCH better.
I would absolutely rehire Russell Plumbing and, in fact, I plan to do exactly that as I have some other plumbing issues that have been nagging at me for years. I have also recommended Russell Plumbing to close, personal friends.

The price was considerably reasonable. They were prompt, courteous. They said they they're gonna show up and they showed up. It almost took them not a bit short time, maybe one or a half to do the plumbing. It was quick for me and reasonable. They were dependable. We had no problem with them. They were excellent.

I saved a lot of money by calling Russell Plumbing. I had several quotes for repairing a shower leak in my 60 yr old house, and Wayne was able to do the repair and fix the temperature control on my water heater for quite a bit less than the other quotes. I felt comfortable with this company in my home, and I'd highly recommend calling him if you need a good plumber.
