Once I contacted Rivers they send out a tech who identified a couple of options for the repair. We discussed those options and chose to replace the condenser and compressor rather than just the compressor to avoid future failures. They completed the job quickly. No problems.

We called Rivers heating and air to report the problem (AC not cooling). They came out the next day and took a look at the unit and replaced a switch. I was impressed with the accuracy of the diagnosis and Andrew's honesty--it would have been easy to sell us stuff that we didn't need. He replaced the switch and the system has worked find since then. He also gave us several good tips on maintaining the AC (hosing off the coils, etc.).
