Tommy was very informative over the phone and sounded very confident, which was the reason I chose him for the home inspection that led me to purchase this home. He was knowledgeable on site about everything and answered questions to the best of his ability. Being that it was an older home with stucco siding and a rubberized roof, he may have been out of his usual range for inspections. The majority of the inspection report cited recommendations to consult a licensed roofer, chimney sweep, electrician, etc., for further inspection. This is a valid statement, but when it is said about so many areas it can be concerning. Granted that many areas of the house were inaccessible without destructive means, in retrospect he did not give the best effort to access them. Through the process of this total home renovation, where none of the necessary fixes were caught in the inspection, I have personally accessed every area previously deemed inaccessible. That, along with the failure to notice some evident wiring and plumbing deficiencies, misnomer of the fireplace as functional, and lack of detail in the general report lead me to steer away from RIC in the future and withhold any recommendation for their consultation.
