The service worked fine. They did what they said they were going to do. It was a little expensive, but they did. The cost was over the $ 319 Big Deal. It seemed that they came out really quickly and took care of it straightaway. We would probably use them again in the future.

They called me and told me that with my service contract I had a free inspection. Even though my contract has expired, they still came out and did the check up. I intend to use them again if I have any electrical problems.

We called "Mr. Sparky" since it was later (around 3:30), and we could not get our regular electrician to check things out until the next day. The technician showed up around 5:00pm and immediately went to work. He found that the circuit breaker had flipped so he turned it back on. He checked around the old fuse box as well as the outlets. He advised us that we'd need several upgrades and offered to call people right then. He was very assertive that we needed the people he recommended to come out the next day to replace the breaker, some wiring, etc. He was here a total of about 20-30 minutes and insisted we go ahead and pay for his services then. His persistence and attitude, along with expecting $199 for 30 minutes work, was not the most professional approach to the little work he did.

Not a good experience at all.

I went very well. They were professional. They showed up, did the job and left. They did what they said they were going to do. We had no problems.

It all went well, basically. the only issue is a few finger prints on the ceiling around the recessed light that he repaired. Overall, my experience was a good one.

Problem was fixed but was very expensive` I felt like the work was overcharged even if it was afterhours or weekend work`

It was pretty simple to schedule an appointment. They were reasonable and punctual. They spent a couple of hours completing the work and they cleaned up well. They were reasonable and punctual. It went really good.

He just came to give an estimate. They were very vague about the price they would charge for the service I wanted done and he didn’t seem very sure on the work. Scheduling was fine and the technician was friendly, however.

They did no harm, but they significantly overcharged for the routine labor they performed and used up a considerable amount of my time trying to recruit me to join some kind of membership service plan that seemed excessively costly

'They were very professional and prompt. A price list is shown before the work that outlines the charges for each type of work. Some of these are on the mark, but others can really rack up the cost for very little work. Nice gimmick for them, but not for the consumer. For example, replacing std. outlet boxes with GFCI boxes took about 10 minutes/box, but at a cost of $99/box. Checking the dead circuit and not being able to correct it cost $611.
Up to now, I've done my own electrical work, but I decided to try Mister Sparky to avoid all the trips to get parts, etc. Guess I'm over that idea!

As promised, I received a call from Mr. sparky letting me know that the technician was en route to my home. The technician arrived at my home several minutes before i or my wife arrived home. Our painters who were already working at the house let the technician in and explained that my wife would be home in several minutes. Meanwhile, the technician called me directly and asked if i could explain what the problem was. I indicated that a switch with a dimmer was getting hot and indicated that we would like him to take a look at it and see what was going on. He said he would and would discuss his findings with my wife. Minutes later, my wife arrived home and the technician indicated that he had already performed the work despite never mentioning to me or my wife the cost of the repair. What was even more shocking was that the technician indicated that the bill was $295 for replacing one switch. My wife was clearly frustrated and suggested that the price was too high. The technician offered to reinstall the faulty switch. After some back and forth, the technician agreed to lower the price to $245 which we feel is still too high. What was most upsetting, however, is that the technician began work without discussing the price with anyone - a clear violation of the Mr. sparky business model. For these reasons we will not use them again.
UPDATE (May 24, 2013): After contacting Mr. Sparky management to express my dissatisfaction with the service received, I received a follow up call from Jamie Wilkie. Mr. Wilkie runs the local Mr. Sparky franchise in Greenville, SC. Jamie was very professional and apologized for the service received and the delay in responding to my complaint. He acknowledged that the electrician that visited my home did not follow proper protocol and the service we received was unacceptable. He immediately offered to refund the entire amount paid which I think was the right thing to do. Based on Mr. Wilkie's professionalism, attentiveness and willingness to "make things right" I have a better impression of this company and believe the poor service I originally received was likely an isolated event and not reflective of the whole company. In addition, the electrician who did not follow proper procedures is no longer with the Greenville, SC. office. Thanks to Jamie Wilkie for reaching out and making things right. When I have a need for electrical service in the future I will consider giving Mr. Sparky another shot.

They were very professional and were in and out quickly. There was no mess left behind, I wouldn't have even known they were there if it weren't for the new bathroom fan. They were a little expensive but that thanks to an Angie's List coupon, I had a big discount.

The electrician arrived on time and worked efficiently. He completed the work and cleaned up after himself.

I first called them to participate in the deal, which included the
electrical check up. I also had them finish the installation on the
out side flood lights. They are on the second story and I am unable to
reach them; they have the equipment. All the work was done
satisfactorily. I supplied all the hardware, they completed the
installation
I do not do much business with electricians, so I do
not have the experience in comparing prices. I expect that I am paying
more for their expertise and the fact that things do not go wrong after
they leave. In this area, I am completely satisfied.
I was
called several months later for another free inspection, this time the
electrician found more stuff that need attention, despite the fact that
the previous inspection did not find these errors. I wonder if the
inspection was more to generate additional business or to rectify a
problem. For example, the inspector indicated that I needed different
circuit breakers for my newly installed HVAC unit. A call by me to my
HVAC installer confirmed that the breakers were OK . I chose not
follow MR Spark'ys recommendation in this case.

It went well, the person doing the work explained it all well and was very professional. He also explained some things about my current electrical setup and how it could accommodate a generator if i wanted one and how the outside surge protector worked.

He was great. Gave me suggestions on use and was punctual. Spent alot of time with me explaining what I needed and what what he was doing. Went above and beyond just doing a job. i just wish I had gotten a business card for future electrical problems. I will use again.
